Sun 10/27/2013 8:04 AM -- from Jim Rettig
Dear classmates,
Less than 1/2 hour ago I got word from Erin via Diana that Don died earlier this morning. How very, very sad to see this funny, insightful, intelligent, skillful, kind, generous man leave us. We will miss him, won't we!
If you are still sending snail mail and want to send condolences to Erin and family, the home address is 1305 West Sanford, Arlington, TX 76012.
In conversations I have had with Don following the surgery for new lungs, he always said that no matter what happens in the near future, he had no regrets. He had lived a good life and was thankful for every day of it.
May God bless all of us as we mourn Don's loss.
Jim

I remember Don as a little boy.......and as a talented teen..............I remember how impressed we were with his OHIO scholarship......We're a smaller group today without him...........Think I'll see if the quartet is still on U-Tube..............Kate

It is with heavy heart we received the news of Don's passing. Although not in his inner circle of friends I will never forget his laughter and oh so friendly smile. Don made you want to like him and what a joy that was. We were very blessed to have had him as a classmate and the world will be empty without Don and all he represented. God bless you, Don.

As a kind of misfit in High School (Nerd) Don always made me feel welcome. I will never forget the time he gave me a ride in his Olds. I was on top of the world. Thanks Don for the great memories and I will shurely miss that smile. May the wind be forever at your back. Larry Wheat
