Randy, are you registered on Classmates. Com? If you or anyone else is (I am not) could you please share this new website with any classmates and encourage them to register and create a profile? Any volunteers to do this? We are trying to contact everyone, but are really relying on class members to spread the word. Thanks for the suggestion , Randy!

Hello, Braves of '74!

We are one month away to the day for our reunion! It's wonderful to see who has registered here on the website and catch up through reading the profiles and seeing the pictures. PLEASE continue to spread the word about this website and the reunion to our fellow classmates.

Also,, please feel free to post pictures from "back in the day" or current photos in the "Photos from Classmates" section! I had to scan my old photos, of course, but it was easy to do! Do you have old prom pictures? Pictures from the games or pep rallies? Just goofing off in those crazy, innocent days? Please share them with us!

On a more somber note, it's heartbreaking to read about our friends who have passed away. Thanks to all who have contributed information, thoughts, and obituaries to the "In Memory" section. Life is short (and getting shorter!), and it reminds us to appreciate every day.

We hope this website and the reunion help us not only reconnect, but celebrate the experience of growing up together and shaping each other's lives! Hope to see you in a month!

Dear fellow Classmates of 1974. Greetings.

I have not over the years been in a position to attend a reunion to catch up with what has happened with my fellow classmates believing that there will always be another year or another reunion. Well I have been in situations that made it so I might not have had another year for me. That has been driven home even more to me this year as I see those who will not be able to attend due to their passing.  A number of very dear friends who I had grown up with and had looked forward to seeing again and now its to late.

Now is the time to rally together and try to get everyone we can to attend.  Many of our classmates are in Utah a very large number along the Wasatch front. Take some time out of your busy schedule and spend a few hours with your classmates from the old days. Contact those old classmates and friends around you and encourage them to come. This can not be done with just Carolyn and Sandee.  While it is very difficult for those out of the country or the state it should be somewhat easier for those in the state to attend.

I reach out to all of you to encourage your friends from the old days to attend to just try and come together one more time. I have been amazed at those who come to this little town of Green River from all over the country to meet once again with their classmates. Lets all pitch in and make contact one more time.

I wish you all the best Randy Ford

P.S.  Do not be like me and regret not seeing dear friends one last time.  We do not know when we will be called to the other side through accident, death, illness or our bodies just saying it is time.

Hope to see you all there and please pass this on.

Randy Ford

I have done what I can to encourage everyone to get the word out.  I know there are those that are already invovled heavily in the reunion that got my message sent to them just ignore it. But please everyone let all the classmates you are in contact with know about the reunion.

I found a handy tool to locate classmates. Google white pages and enter a name. Leave city, state, zip blank. It will pull up name matches nationally. It lists Utah addresses previously lived in. Also, it shows age range I.e. 55-59. An address will be listed & sometimes a phone #. Surprising how many still have landlines! I have found classmates & contacted them.

I found a favorite quote of Kelly's from his profile on classmates.com. "Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, proclaiming "Wow what a ride". Morry Morrow Heagle. Beautiful. Thanks, Kelly. Sorry I miss meeting you @ the reunion, since I didn't know you in high school. Everyone, hug family, friends & pets. Also, contribute to Kelly's funeral expenses @ any Wells Fargo Bank.

I counted 446 classmates from the yearbook. Is that correct? There are about 25% profiles on the website.

Eldeen and Randy, thanks for all your efforts to reach out to other clasmates and let them know about the website and the reunion activities! Your help is so appreciated. The White pages search tips are helpful, too! Mark, you are correct in that there were quite a few people who did not have senior pictures taken for the yearbook (If I remember correctly, we had to go in to the ZCMI photography studio to have our pictures taken that year). We have generated the list on this website from school records, not who has a picture in the yearbook.
