OKAY, I'm looking for a medical diagnosis because . . . I don't want an MRI. I can't straighten my knee, the swelling is down but there is a bulge on the lower left inside of my knee. I've worn a knee brace for the last week but still have an ungraceful limp. No, I didn't have any known trauma. Any ideas? I just want it to go away without medical intervention.

Never mind, lots of input on facebook so . . . I'll see a doctor tomorrow.

Joy--too bad you didn't have your pet party on video. Sounds like it could have been a winner on America's Funniest Home Videos!

CHRISTMAS LOVE

Paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 13

If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows, strands of twinkling
lights and shiny balls, but do not show love to my family, I'm just
another decorator.

If I slave away in the kitchen, baking dozens of Christmas cookies,
preparing gourmet meals and arranging a beautifully adorned table
at mealtime, but do now show love to my family, I'm just another cook.

If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels and crocheted snowflakes,
attend a myriad of holiday parties and sing in the choir's cantata but
do not focus on Christ, I have missed the point.

If I work at the soup kitchen, carol in the nursing and give all that I have
to charity, but do not show love to my family, it profits me nothing.

Love stops the cooking to hug the child.

Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the spouse.

Love is kind, though harried and tired.

Love doesn't envy another's home that has coordinated Christmas
china and table linens.
Love doesn't yell at the kids to get out of the way.

Love doesn't give only to those who are able to give in return
but rejoices in giving to those who can't.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,
endures all things.

Love never fails. Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost,
golf clubs will rust, but giving the gift of CHRISTMAS LOVE will endure.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

what an honor it was given to coach LZ. Even though I didn't play football I know he deserved every moment of that video. My heart was touched just as much as his past players.

Kitty Allison (Hilton)

Hey Guys & Gals that I love with all my heart! I haven't been here in way too long! Thank you for the beautiful and funny BD wishes. I'm on FaceBook almost every day & would love to be "friends" with all of you. My time is spent doing all I can to bless the whole earth with the healing benefits of Tahitian Noni Juice. Healing the world one life at a time takes time!! If you're interested in learning more please let me know. I was invited to make a presentation to 200 physicians, RNs and staff at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital recently...I'll forward the presentation on to any of you. It's interesting after 35 years of working with health products to be invited by a huge medical institution to share a healthy alternative, but they're very concerned with their culpability in over prescribing pain meds especially to us...Baby Boomers! Also, have a Swine Flu report...how to prevent or treat in a healty way. Let me know if I can be helpful to you or anyone you care about! I'm sending great big Texas-size hugs to our Christmas party for each of you! Wish I could be there...see how many hugs you can collect...love to all ya'll!

I don't know if anyone has posted on this forum because I didn't check back very far, but I wanted to share the following for those of you that have never read or heard about it:

The Legend of The Candy Cane

A humble candy maker in Indiana wanted to make a candy

that would be a special gift for the King of Kings,

so he made the Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated

several symbols for the birth, ministry, and death of

Jesus Christ.

He began with a stick of pure white hard candy to

symbolize the Virgin Birth and sinless nature of Christ,

and hard because the church is built on solid rock, and

firmness, for God’s promises are a firm foundation. He

formed it in the shape of the letter -J- to

represent 'the precious name of Jesus,

who came to earth as our Savior. It could also

represent the staff of the Good Shepherd with which He

reaches down in to the ditches of the world to lift out

the fallen lambs who, like all sheep, have gone astray.

Then he added three small red stripes to represent the

scourging Jesus suffered on His way to the cross.

One large red stripe would remind those with eyes to see

and ears to hear of the promise of eternal life. It

would be a gift of love that would tell His story

-the greatest story ever told.

Thanks Judy for posting the message of the candy cane.
We all need to read it and focus on who Jesus is to us.
It's such a simple but powerful message.
I'm so happy to know that so many in our class of '69 has chosen to choose
the path of following the one an only true Savior Jesus Christ. He is our only hope for this world. He has all the answers that we have been and are looking
for, if we will just take a little time out of our busy days, and get still with Him
He will speak to us personally.
I hope and pray that you and everyone has a wonderful and peaceful Christmas with whom ever your spending it with. Be safe on the roadway or airways.

WHICH ONE OF US WROTE THIS????

The Story Of A Challenged Senior

At a certain age, everyone will understand this poor guy... I thought about the 30 year business I ran with 1800 employees, all without a Blackberry that played music, took videos, pictures and communicated with Facebook and Twitter.. . I signed up under duress for Twitter and Facebook, so my seven kids, their spouses, 13 grandkids and 2 great grand kids could communicate with me in the modern way. I figured I could handle something as simple as Twitter with only 140 characters of space. That was before one of my grandkids hooked me up for Tweeter, Tweetree, Twhirl, Twitterfon, Tweetie and Twittererific Tweetdeck, Twitpix and something that sends every message to my cell phone and every other program within the texting world.

My phone was beeping every three minutes with the details of everything except the bowel movements of the entire next generation. I am not ready to live like this. I keep my cell phone in the garage in my golf bag.

The kids bought me a GPS for my last birthday because they say I get lost every now and then going over to the grocery store or library. I keep that in a box under my tool bench with the Blue tooth [it's red]phone I am supposed to use when I drive. I wore it once and was standing in line at Barnes and Noble talking to my wife as everyone in the nearest 50 yards was glaring at me. Seems I have to take my hearing aid out to use it and I
gota little loud.

I mean the GPS looked pretty smart on my dash board, but the lady inside was the most annoying, rudest person I had run into in a long time. Every 10 minutes, she would sarcastically say, "Re-calc-ul-ating" You would think that she could be nicer. It was like she could barely tolerate me. She would let go with a deep sigh and then tell me to make a U-turn at the next light. Then when I would make a right turn instead, it was not good. When I get really lost now, I call my wife and tell her the name of the cross streets and while she is starting to develop the same tone as Gypsy, the GSP lady, at least she loves me.

To be perfectly frank, I am still trying to learn how to use the cordless phones in our house. We have had them for 4 years, but I still haven't figured out how I can lose three phones all at once and have run around digging under chair cushions and checking bathrooms and the dirty laundry baskets when the phone rings.

The world is just getting too complex for me. They even mess me up every time I go to the grocery store. You would think they could settle on something themselves but this sudden "Paper or Plastic?" every time I check out just knocks me for a loop. I bought some of those cloth reusable bags to avoid looking confused but I never remember to take them in with me. Now I toss it back to them. When they ask me, "Paper or Plastic?"
I just say, "Doesn't matter to me.. I am bi-sacksual.." Then it's their turn to stare at me with a blank look.

It's Almost Jesus' Birthday

It's almost Jesus' birthday...
So let us not forget.
To give to Him the present,
That He would like the best.
He doesn't want a stocking...
Hung upon the tree.
Or lots of toys or presents,
Like selfish you and me.

He only wants our love for Him,
To shine out to the earth.
He wants us to tell others,
About His miracle birth.
He wants us to bring all we know,
To church to worship Him.
He wants us to remember...
He died for all our sins.

Please focus on His birthday...
The sacrifice God made.
To send His Son to live and die,
So we could all be saved.
This tiny baby Jesus...
Born in a lowly stall.
He came to bring salvation...
To save us one and all.

This Christmas has more meaning...
I'm calm and have such peace.
So let us bow before Him,
And worship at His feet.
The church bells now are ringing,
For you and I to bring...
Our gifts of praise and worship...
To our Savior and our King.

Much fun and laughter tonite at the reunion/party. We always have so much fun when we get together. Carrol-did your pillow make it home with you?

Carrol Reneau (Jeffers)

I couldn't answer this and be certain until Alice left this a.m. YES, it is still here. Considering writing my name on the back in indelible ink!!! Not that that would stop this pack of thieves!

Poor John Deven and Marian-you were brutal!

Carrol Reneau (Jeffers)

EXCUSE ME???? Were they missing prized possessions? If you have information and but are not willing to testify, you don't get to have an opinion. Somebody on the back row took it or knows who did. I'm taking all 42 of those class group photos to work tomorrow and have the INVESTIGATORS investigate it.

BTW, have you checked your purse? Is all of your stuff still in it?

I didn't take it! I could have gotten it if I hadn't taken the champagne-it was a cute pillow. Enjoy it!
