I've noticed not much is happening on the message board when I check in. I guess that's a good thing (nothing bad) but I enjoy reading some of the fun things that go on in the lives of my classmates. I'm just an inactive participant. Happy birthday Carol Finster. I remember you living on Cypress and me on Jonquil and going to Roberts Elementary together. I hope 59 is a good year for you. Wish you all well.

Our condolences go out to Marilyn Schuhmann who lost her mother.

Pauline Elizabeth Schuhmann

Homer Markham wetted the side of his home in upstate New York on June 29, 1924 to cool his house down while his wife was giving birth to his and Lillian’s only child, Pauline Elizabeth.

Pauline grew up to earn her nursing degree at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. There she met John George who would become her husband on December 29, 1949.

John and Pauline had two daughters, Marilyn Elizabeth of Richwood, Texas and Kristina Dale (Cockerill) of Oak Park, Illinois. The family lived for a time in Linden, New Jersey, Midland, Michigan, and finally in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Pauline was a member First United Methodist in Lake Jackson for 44 years and held her faith of primary importance. She was an enthusiastic participant in church choirs and played the organ in her Sunday school class and at home. Her priority was being a mother and caretaker of her home.

Services for Pauline will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pauline’s name for Gideon’s Bibles at The Gideon’s International P. O. Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214—0800

Final arrangements entrusted to the Turner Family, Freeport-Lakewood Funeral Homes, Inc. (979) 297-6464. Online condolences can be made at www.freeportlakewoodfuneralhomes.com

Carrol,

Thanks for the countdown clock. It lets me know exactly how long it is until I turn 60.

Everyone else,

Tony & Cheryl said last night that we only have the 10 cabins reserved on the cruise. Cheryl said that you can reserve and cancel later and not be penalized. We need a bigger crowd than 10.

He retired from Dow Chemical in 1975 after 26 years of service.

Phil was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister, Nancy Gambino.

For those of you who think this website has 'died', 20 of us have checked in the last 24 hours, 62 of us in the last 7 days and 107 of us in the last 30 days.

Yes, I know who you are and could even post the names. We've turned in to a class of LURKERS!

Is Lurker better than a Stalker?

03/16/10 10:13 PM #2710

Margaret Dubois (Ammons)

Ok-well, lets start some more talk. Plans are for a get together June 26 at Marian Sahr Bullards house. Kitty is supposed to be in Texas that weekend. Let's see just how many folks we can get to this gathering. Maybe some of those people up in the Austin area can make it down here. Got 3 months to plan it.

Stalkers tend to have a focused target.

Lurkers by definition tend to lie or wait in concealment, as a person in ambush; remain in or around a place secretly or furtively.
2.to go furtively; slink; steal.
3.to exist unperceived or unsuspected.
4.Chiefly Computers. to read or observe an ongoing discussion without participating in it, as in an Internet newsgroup.

@ Strickland, which one is 'better'? Depends.
Your welcome. Glad to enlighten when I can.
