Y'all remember Romper Room and Miss Margaret? (or was it Miss Nancy?) At the end of the show she would look through the magic birthday mirror. I'm gonna channel Miss MargaretNancy for a minute.
Happy birthday wishes to Lee and Melinda today and tomorrow Gene Rease is the birthday boy.

Melinda,
OR, I just made those names up & don't realize it . . . that happens, also. Sometimes my mind fills in the blanks all by itself.

Mary,

Leslie and I are so saddened to learn of your profound loss. You and your family are in our prayers.

Lord, I pray that You draw near to Mary and her family at this time. I ask You to carry them in Your strong arms and that the comfort of the Holy Spirit would be released unto them. Please Lord grant them the strength to be sustained through this tragic season in their lives and to know Your love in a tangible way.
In Jesus Name. Amen.

Until We Meet Again

by Unknown

Each morning when we awake
we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache
As we try to carry on.

Our hearts still ache with sadness
and many tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

Our thoughts are always with you,
your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.

There will always be a heartache,
and often a silent tear,
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.

If tears could make a staircase,
And heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you home again.

We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again.

Our family chain is broken now,
And nothing will be the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

ANDREW (DREW) LEE ERICKSON, 24, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Sugar Land, TX as the result of an auto accident. Beloved son of Jim and Mary and dear brother of Sam and Thomas as well as many others who considered Andrew their brother. Andrew was an Eagle Scout, a 2004 graduate of Austin High School, a 2008 graduate of TSTC in Waco, TX and was employed as an auto technician at Allen Samuels Katy Dodge. Andrew’s joyful spirit was always expressed with a smile and he will be sorely missed. In his generous nature, Andrew donated his body to LifeGift, an organ and tissue donor bank, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifeGift to honor him.

Prayer Warriors, please cover Sweet Margaret!

From: Margaret Dubois Ammons
Email: margaretammons@hotmail.com

Please keep me in your prayers. I will be having surgery to remove a lump in my breast sometime in the next week. Hope to have it done this Friday. We will know more after the surgery and they biopsy the lump. I know that our God watches over us and can do all things. I have this faith that He will see us through this.

Margaret, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Lord,
We pray for You to give wisdom to Margaret's physicians and guide the hand of the surgeon. Please draw near to her and bring her courage and confidence. Lord, we pray for a good report on the biopsy and that there will be no recurrence of this health issue in her life. Bless my sister Lord with the peace that passes understanding.
In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

My Dear Margaret, I know I just spoke with you but I want you know that you never get to far from my thoughts and I thank God for our friendship. I know the healing hands of our Lord and that he will be in the room with you Friday. I love you my dear friend and I am here for you, ALWAYS.

Thanks, Marian. At this point, it looks like it will be next Friday. Waiting to hear back from the doctors office. I live by Romans 8:28-"All things work together for good for those that love God, for those who are called
according to His purposes". Whatever the outcome, He will sustain me.

Barbara Ludeman (Frazier)

Hello, everyone! Been a long time since I've posted anything. I figure this is a good time and place to ask for prayer for my mother, Ann Ludeman. Some of the girls remember her from Girl Scouts. This past Wednesday she fell getting out of bed. She got a black eye and some bruised ribs and broke her right hip just below the ball joint. She is in room 203A at Brazosport Medical Center/Hospital (not sure what they call it these days). She can't answer the phone. She is getting morphine for the pain. She is scheduled for surgery this afternoon at 1:00pm. They had to wait until they could get the Coumadin level in her blood down. Her heart is strong and they don't expect any serious problems since she is in pretty good health, otherwise. It is hard being so far away but my younger brother, Don, is there and doing a great job being with her and talking with the doctors and keeping me posted. They said she will not be able to bear weight on that leg for at least three weeks. They said it is a complicated break with a piece of bone pulled out of place but they will be able to do the surgery through two incisions and it should only take 1-1/2 to 2 hours. She'll then go upstairs to the rehab unit at the hospital and then may have to go to a nursing facility with rehab facilities and that it will be a long haul for her recovery. She has always been a fighter for others. We hope she will be a fighter for herself in all this. We would appreciate your prayers for her and for Don as he deals with all the decisions and arrangements that will have to be made now and for the foreseable future. I currently have two part-time jobs (three, if I count working for my husband) and don't know when I might really be needed so will wait to see how things work out before I make any definite plans to be there. Thank you all so much.

Barbara-Of course,I remember your mom. I will keep her and Don and you in my prayers for as speedy a recovery as possible and for you not to stress too much about not being here. Take care of yourself in case you need to come down here to take care of her. I love You-Margaret

My surgery is scheduled for next Friday-definite. Thank you for all the prayers and concerns. I love you all.

Thank you for your prayers, Margaret.  You will be in my prayers also.  I hope things go well for you.  It has been awhile since I visited this website.  Was just reading through some of the posts and checking things out.  I had no idea that so many of our classmates were, or had become Christians.  I am amazed and it warms my soul to see the way God is working in our midst - the prayers and the wonderful interaction between everyone here.  God is so good.  It is hard to find the words to say what He has done for me in my life.  I pray that God will help you to rest in that peace that passes all understanding and that He will bless you with a strong feeling of His arms wrapped around you, His presence with you and His Love for you during this time.  Consider yourself hugged!

Barbara Ludeman (Frazier)

My brother, Don, called after talking to the doctors.  Mom came through the surgery just fine.  She will have to have a lot of physical therapy to gain strength and it will take some time for her bones to heal enough for her to be able to put weight on her right leg and then start walking on it again.  She will need skilled nursing care for the next couple of months.  It will be hard for her to deal with this long recovery.  And there is the possibility that she may not be able to live on her own again.  We will just be taking it one step at a time while Don checks out what options there will be for her care and rehabilitation.  It is also my prayer that through this Mom will really know God's love and care for her.  I am not sure that she is a true believer in Christ.  I would thank you all, ahead of time, for your prayers.

Thank you Carol, for sharing that beautiful YouTube video of Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone).  The first time I heard it, I was not sure I was going to like this "new version" of one of my favorite hymns.  It did not take me long to change my mind completely.  I feel so greatly ministered to through song.  What a great and powerful gift God has given us.

We thank You, Lord, for this our food;

We thank You, Lord, for this fine day;

We thank You, Lord, for this our family;

We thank You, Lord, for everything...

I know the surprise, but I WILL NOT TELL!  All of us at the planning have take blood oaths - so, no information will be forthcoming.  You will just have to come to the R&R Reunion!  On a more serious note, my prayers go out to Margaret, Barbara and Mary.  May the Lord bless and keep you all.

We are beginning to hear from classmates that will be attending.  If you have not replied, please reply ASAP.  The planning committe will be meeting the 8th of May at my house.  If you did not get a chance to attend the first meeting, please make this one.  (Just think, if you come...you will find out the secret)
