Hey guys, just a quick note-we have a meeting this Sunday at 3:00 PM (Tommy Palmer please read!! get your nap in early) anyway I'm going to make Taco Salad and a dessert so ya'll come HELP!!!

I haven't had time to read the latest postings but Thank God Alice is home safe and that her trip was such a success and God will work in all the people's lives that she touched and ministered to. Good work Alice.

John Adcock and Janice Mangum were discussing the Exporter Band. Here are two newpaper photos I found in my Sophomore year (1967) scrapbook. Exporter Band and anchor formation.
By the way, I spoke with Mary Quintanilla when I was verfying addresses for the mailout. She's still as sweet as ever. I asked if she still played the flute and she replied, "Never!" You can exchange for cash. However, the cash value, for some of the prizes, will probably be negligible, if any.
The homecoming committee (Carol) may have to pay, out of her own pocket, for you to haul your prize away.

This is the first time I have posted a response. Unless I missed it from all the prior responses, I don't see where anyone posted the response from Dear Gin to Gerry Sue's letter to her about the bean recipe. I live in Louisiana and miss Texas terribly and I guess I am a nerd, as I still read The Facts to keep up what is going on back home. Tricia

Here is the Dear Gin's response:

Hi Gin,

This is in answer to Suzy Patton’s request for the recipe for beans that all the kids cleaned their plates for in school.

I volunteered at the hospital with Ester Baccus who worked in the cafeteria and asked her how they cooked the beans that all the kids loved. She told me that they were seasoned with butter!

The government gave the schools surplus foods in those days and that was why they had the butter. I have intended to try it, but with the kids gone, beans last a long time. She never said how much butter they used.

Dee....my toe did not fall off!!! Yippppppeeee!!! I just painted hot pink polish with a big white flower over it with fake diamond!!!!! So pretty!!!! Hey...I heard from Sandra English Byers married to Bobby Byers..sister-in-law to Ricky Byers!!!....hope she is coming to the reunion!!!! Poor Sandra was one of my guinea pigs growing up across the street from me!! LOL...one time I cut her hair in a swing cut...oh yeah it did swing...alot!!!! Well, at least I didn't hit her house with my car!!!! Sandra's family moved...I wonder why???!!! We have some stories Sandra...remember sun bathing on the roof at my house?!!!

Well....this past week, May 22 I would have been married to the man of my dreams for 33 years...dated for 5 years!! So many great memories!!!!! Thank you GOD for sending me a prince!!!!

OMG...Ya'll won't believe this!!!! As I was driving, driving, driving- this is one of Jolie's songs.. down to the airport to pick up #3 son I saw this 18 Wheeler, and on the back door was a huge picture of the BUCK I am using for breeding called ATLAS!!!! This truck was owned by the JB Hunt family from Dallas!!! Texas Breeders on the side with many bucks....Atlas's offspring!!! WOW!!!!! Dee show this buck to your son...I am sure he has probably heard of him!!!! ok...my babies will be born soon! Think bucks, bucks, bucks!!!!!! Maybe I will have some twins and triplets...maybe a whole herd!!! LOL...funny for an all girl kind of girl...so fun!!!!! Who wrote me to see them???!!!
