For all the people making this reunion the best...YOU are doing a GREEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAATTTT job!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!! Oh...see update on my site of my babies! We have them on camera!!! These are not the new fawns, but will post them when I have some new pictures!!!

I hear everyone is going to the restaurant on the River...at the River??!! What river? I heard the owner is staying open late for the 1969 EXPORTERS!!!!!!!!
We are special!!!!!!
May GOD bless you all and protect you as you travel!
Oh by the way for those that are flying you might try one of those breathing masks like painters use! My daughter-in-law caught this horrible respiratory infection on her flight, and so did I on my last trip to Los Angeles!!! I don't want to scare you, but be cautious!!
See you soon....yippppppeeeeeeeeee!!
Love,
JOY!!!! :0)

Guys-
On the River is well known for their fried dill pickles, so be sure to try them Friday nite. The rest of their food is really good, too.

Mary Greer

and Margaret don't forget about the "margaritas"

Margaret Dubois (Ammons)

Always, the margaritas. Their fried shrimp and jalapeno cornbread is not too shabby, either.

Cyndie Strother (Cunningham)

Will there be red shirt wearers at the game Friday supporting the Exporters?

I don't want to be the "odd" man out.

08/28/09 06:52 PM #1970

Ellise Good (Griot)

Cyndie, I am wearing red to the game Friday night...what other color would you wear? Of course, jeans (blue) and white tennis shoes will complete the color scheme.
So sorry to hear about Mr Magee. He will be in MANY prayers.

The reunion t-shirts will be in the packets at the game, so you can always change into them in the womens restroom at the field.

Memory Challenge (short term!) On the home page, scroll down to the end of the pictures to the Smiley face game - above the Brazosport Food Pantry. My very first score EVER was 627. I honestly don't know if that's worth bragging about or not but I was just pleased that I didn't run out of time! What's your FIRST score?

We have LOTS of birthday boys & girls today!

Sandra English (Byers)

Gene - Good thing to know I'm not the only forgetful one!!!

Remember our class chant at the pep rallys?
"We are great, we are fine, we're the class of '69"?

I was thinking of a new motto for us as we approach our "golden years". Words that come to mind are fun, loving, kind, Believers in God, enthusiastic, energetic, faithful and generous.

Ok, forgetful, graying, wrinkled, slow(er) might be there too.

You are loving, you are kind - you're the class of '69!

Thanks to all who have shared so much. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Carrol Reneau (Jeffers)

Oh, Sandra, I do like that!
'We are loving, We are kind, we're the class of '69!'
Wish you'd have shared that sooner!

On Margaret Reaux Wagner's profile, she has posted a picture of the Brazoswood team entering the football field carrying a banner "L Z" in tribute to Coach Bryan.

Henry Aka Mickey Mixon

Hey Ya'll! Is anyone staying at the Best Western on 332 in Clute during the reunion weekend? I signed up for the early golf tourney and signed up my sweet, little wife Karen for the Bunko game, at which she has previous experience and loves to play because it involves a lot of talking. ("The talkative, sweet, little wife" is the one typing this because SOMEONE is afraid of computers.)My point is could she hitch a ride to the Bunko game on Saturday morning? I promise you won't have to buy her breakfast or lunch and don't believe anything she says. (Someone with medical experience needs to be around for Mickey when I get through with him!!!)One other question which has probably already been asked and answered: Do we get to keep this website after the reunion? This has really been cool over the last several months catching up, to a degree, to many wonderful classmates. See ya'll on Friday!!!

Yep, last fall we 'rented' the domain name for the next 5 years . . . so through 2013 any way.
