Thanks for the happy birthday wishes. Connie, I am now as old as you so you are not alone. Joy, next time you have a slumber party, invite me and I will bring Carson and we will all have a fun night.

Our daughter, Kelley Armstrong, just gave birth to a 9lb 12 oz, 21 1/2 in baby boy. William Miles Armstrong. He's very healthy and there were no problems.
Nothing like proud grandparents. I would post a picture, but I don't know how.

Dear Classmates, I think I have had the best birthday ever!!! It started out great with all the phone calls and emails I received. Then, I had over 45 people at my coalition meeting today with one coming from Corpus and one from Houston. At the very end, Bill comes walking in with a big vase full of roses, a hugh ballon(that played music), a big birthday card (that played music), a hugh birthday cake and a beautiful bible. All the women could say was, ohhhhh!!!! It was such a wonderful time. The reporter there took a picture of me holding my card. I know I am allow a wish and my wish is That God Blesses All Of You With Great Health. I love you all.

John congrats on the new arrival. I had my two year old grandson and youngest daughter spend the night with me last night so they would be first to tell me happy birthday. These times are never forgotten! God's Blessings

Gary -

Your prayer for me prior to my surgery brought me such peace, and I wish I was as eloquent as you so I could return the prayer. And our discussion at the reunoin just reinforced what a wonderful person you are, and the beautiful things you are doing to make this a better world. I can assure you will be on the top of my prayer list, and yes I do need the practice, until we hear the good news that Dr. Gloom and Doom has gotten all of your cancerous growths - both in your arm and your nose.

You have too many plans that need to be completed, so my prayer is to get you healthy ASAP, and you will find peace and comfort knowing you have a good doctor.

Keep us posted on what you find out.

I am in Chicago this am for software training for work.
I missed not be able to log in yesterday. Couldn't get my laptop to log in at the hotel last nite. I'm a clutz with computers. John-congrats on the new grandbaby-they are wonderful, aren't they?

Nice and cool here this am-in the low 60's with sunshine.
Nice change from Texas, but I'll be back in the heat
Thursday nite.

Loved reading everybody's postings-kind of helps with the homesickness.

Love to all!

Gary,
Susie and I will be praying for you.
Your brother in Christ.

Lynn Rasberry (Brooks)

Gary,
I will certainly say prayers for you since all the prayers everyone said for me were answered and my biopsy came back negative. Tell Dr. Moody to "chill"; at least it's not a proctologist named Dr. Butt! Seriously, tho, I will keep you in my prayers.

John & Susie - congrats on the new grandson! What a big boy! You'd better learn how to post photos, cuz we all want to see!

Happy late birthday, Marian. I'm glad you were so blessed.

There are so many people online on the website right now. Guess we are all "homesick."

Well, I had my cheek surgery done today and the surgeon seemed to think it went well. Dr. Moody still has no sense of humor. I suggested he might want to tighten up the "crows feet" around the eyes while he was at it. He tersely replied, "That's a different conversation." Then as he was cauterizing the the incision I suggested it might help if he were to add a little mesquite flavoring to the smell of my burning flesh. He mumbled, "Uh huh." I'm obviously gonna have to work on my routine a bit more...he's a tough audience. Actually, he's a good guy and I truly appreciate his skill.

I'm kinda havin a hard time rightin rite now becauze of the pane peels. I sink i needs to goat to bedddzzzzz.

Thanks everyone for your prayers, encouragement and support during this time. I have much peace knowing so many great people have prayed for me.

I love you all,

Gary

Margaret Dubois (Ammons)

Gary, glad you made it ok thru the surgery. God does answer prayers.

Still in Chicago-be home tonite. Made a trip into downtown last night. One of the locals drove us in and
dropped us off (4 girls) at Hancock Tower on Michigan Avenue and we walked all the way past Millenium Park to the WRONG train station. Finally found the right one about 4 blocks away and had to wait an hour for the next train. Train station was about 2-3 miles from our hotel, so we took a taxi from there. Got to the hotel about 1:30 this am and had to be up at 5:45 to go back to the office for more training at 7:30. Had so much fun and laughed and laughed. ( I was the old lady of the group-the rest are 39 and younger)
Glad to go home tonite.

Let me change the subject for a moment. For the 69ers still in the Brazosport area the Center for the Arts latest production "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" begins tonite, Thursday, Sept 17 @ 8:00. Is going to be a great show. Everyone is invited. If you've ever seen the movie then you know it deals with some heavy family matters and it is not recommended for children. Hope to see you there.

Lynn Rasberry (Brooks)

Thanks, Marc. I love attending the local events, but sometimes don't know when they are since I don't get the Facts. Do you have a part in this production? Big Daddy? (Just joking - I'm sure you would have the Paul Newman part!)

Jd Barnett:

Hola de España! I´m in Madrid seeing art and wanted to say hello...I´m off to Toledo (Spain!) Saturday to see that town, then back to Barcelona and then back to the good old USA. This is a nice place but my Spanish is barely enough to keep me fed, find a hotel and stay out of jail. I miss just shooting the bull with people.

Later!
