I still live on the farm with my retired husband, Bo, near Kokomo. We raise sheep, pumpkins, and vegetables in season.
After retiring from teaching, I enjoy gardening, reading, and visiting with friends.
Being grandma is pretty special.

Yes and I live not far from Carbon.

How old do you feel?

Some days, older than others. However, I firmly believe that staying active, busy, and involved in exercise will help the mind and body function best which is the reason that I grow my own food, preserve it, and enjoy all its benefits.

Letha, i think of you as I turn onto highway 6, and see the vacant space where your aunt's house used to be. That property sold and a new house has been built back behind and to the south of your aunt's house. Ruby Lee lived close to that also. Lots of changes since we were kids. I live down that same Flatwood Road which is now a paved farm to market road about 5 miles. I didn't stay very far from Carbon, but I really don't know hardly anyone there now because our parents and our age group have moved on or died and the new generation, I don't know.
