Marjorie Ruth Hines Adair

I went to Cisco Jr. College and married Charles
Adair from Carbon High . We moved to Austin so
Charles to finish College. We moved to Temple,
then to Houston, Victoria,Back to Houston for 30 years,We owed our own business (manufatured Filter Housings). We both retired to Elkins Lake,
Huntsville, Tex. Charles passed l998 ,I moved back
to Houston for 8 years. Then I moved to Brenham
in 2005 to be near family. It has been a wonderful
life.

.I still have wonderful friends from Carbon High.
We keep in contact. I look back on the years
at Carbon High and it was great. I played all sports , basketball, baseball, volleyball. I liked
my teachers , really. Gene Underwood and I had
a big fuss in study hall and Charlie Garrett sent
Gene to the office and I had to stay in after school.
My first date was with Billy Pearson. He left Carbon when he was a Junior. I have always
wondered what happened to him.
Miss Opal Little was our home room teacher (when we were seniors) and she was a favorite.
we all loved her

My sister and husband live in Eastland (Arlene &
Lonnie McCurry) They are both in bad health.

When I could I loved England and Europe.
I also really enjoy Washington D.C. and
Boston.
