Larry Riney

Some of our best years of my teaching career were at Carbon Schools. We were there from fall of 1976 through June, 1981. My met my wife, Sherri, while working at Carbon because we were introduced by Fred and Jackie Tucker; Fred was my principal at the time, and Jackie worked with Sherri at Eastland Memorial Hospital. Two of our children were born while we lived at Eastland, TX.
Now after 38 years of marriage, those fond memories of Carbon are even more special because I have had the privilege of staying in touch with several of my ex-students as well as several of the teachers/administrators I worked with during those years.
We are looking forward to attending this year's reunion on July 10-11 because it will be our first one to attend if I remember correctly.

I received my Masters in Educational Administration while living at Eastland and working at Carbon Schools in 1979. I became a school principal in 1990 in Kress ISD located in the Panhandle. We then returned to Baird ISD in 1992 and remained there until my retirement in 2003.
