Pam Worley Walters

After attending the University of South Carolina for a year, I taught dancing for awhile, fell in love and married my wonderful husband, Charlie. We transferred with his job for a number of years, then spent fifteen years in Texas. We returned to S.C. in 1984 and have been here ever since.
We now live on the beach that I've always loved so much, while still maintaining a condo in Greenville that we go to about once month on business. We just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary.
I enjoy my family, traveling, reading, dancing, and exercising. I awake every morning so thankful for the many blessings that have been bestowed upon me and my family. God has allowed so much joy into my life!
FAST FORWARD TO 2017 ! We now reside in Greenville, S.C. at the Cascades, a retirement community here. Charlie struggles with some health issues and we felt like he could be better cared for here. We miss the beach, but time and circumstances change.
I stay busy with my service on the boards of the Peace Center and the International Ballet. Charlie's doctor appointments take up a good deal of time.
I'm class reporter for the Harding High School Alumni Assoc.,for the classes of 1959 and 1958, and have enjoyed catching up with some old friends. If you haven't joined yet, you should. I drive from Greenville every other month for the luncheons at Prichard Memorial Baptist Church on S. Blvd., and they love getting new members.
I continue to be an enthusiastic fan of the USC Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers. An old cheerleader remains inside my soul !
We'll try to have a 60th reunion (can you believe it?!) in 2019. I'd love to hear from you with some ideas and suggestions for that event.

I'm really looking forward to our 50th reunion, seeing old friends and making new memories.
Christmas 2011 found us in Cabo San Lucas with the whole family. We had a wonderful time and brought the New Year in with much love and laughter.
In February of that year we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Tahiti, on board the Paul Gaugin cruise ship sailing the Tahitian islands.
Since then Charlie has had some serious health problems, stroke and heart attack, but he continues to improve. Needless to say, our lifestyle has slowed down considerably! However, life is good and we continue to be thankful for each day and for our many blessings.
Now on Dec. 31, 2012, I wish you all a wonderful 2013 and much happiness. May it be your best year ever!!

I'm told I need to update, but not a whole lot as happened since Nov., 2017. We're still in Greenville. Charlie continues to battle leukemia and congestive heart problems. I'm fine, thankfully. We just had a grandson graduate from the College of Charleston with an arts management degree. Now he's heading to Nashville to follow his dream. All in all, we continue to be blessed. Hopefully we can have a 60th reunion next year. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated, so let me hear from you at pampamww5@gmail.com.

My years at Harding were just great! The best part of it was the friends I made there. My years as a cheerleader are among my fondest memories.
Serving my class and the Student Council in various capacities through the years was very fulfilling. The experiences proved to be valuable in my adult life as well.
I feel that I got as good an education there as could be found in Charlotte in the '50s. We had some outstanding teachers and leadership.
One of my greatest achievements was outrunning Jimmy on the sidelines in a football game, and beating him to the goal line! I don't know if he ever saw the humor in that!! Coach Harris and Marian Bell certainly did!
