After finishing HHS in 1959, I married Brownie Query in 1961. I was blessed with two wonderful children. In 1967, we divorced.
In 1969, I married Jimmy Green. I worked with him and his mom at the Hot Dog stand for about 3 years. In 1975, we divorced. I went to work for Crompton & Knowles in 1976 and worked there for ten years. In 1986, I started work for Dresser Industries where we went through five name changes. The last name was Flowserve Corporation, which was a nuclear facility and was there for 24 years. In 2007 I had a major stroke and was given 1 hour to live, but the Lord was not ready for me yet, so I am still here. I had another stroke in 2010 when I fell down the steps at my back door on my way to work at 5:30 a.m. I was taken to the hospital where they had to put in a tri-chromium plate, where I broke my wrist where the two bones cross one another. In 2011, I had to have a PFO Closure on my heart to keep me from having strokes, where I could have the plate removed because my left hand hurt so much. My hand still hurts to this day. My doctor told me to retire because I was not going to be able to do the job that I did at my work that I truly loved. I have not missed work at all. It is just great being able to enjoy my family and my one grandbaby Nick.
