Graduated from the University of NC, Chapel Hill with a BS in Mathematics in 1964. Worked for Lockheed GA in Marietta GA, suburb of Atlanta. Married in 1965, Divorced in 72/73. Moved to St. Louis, MO metropolitan area in Oct 1973 to work for McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing), remarried in March, 1974. In 1988 part of McDonnell Douglas I worked for was bought out by EDS (Electronic Data Systems - originally started by Ross Pierot). Retired from EDS after 30 years of combined service (Yikes!) end of 2004. Started working for Express Scripts, a mail order Pharmaceutical Company.
In 1996, decided to join the Leukemia and Lymphoma society (LLS) for a challenge - walk a marathon! (What was Ithinking???) Since then though, I have done 10 marathons, and about 6 or 7 with LLS plus several other ones on my own. Along the way I have met so many wonderful people who have been an inspiration to me and many others. About 4 years ago I became a walking coach for LLS. Walking marathons/half marathons and coaching with LLS has afforded me an opportunity to travel - I've been to Alaska 4 times, Bermuda, New Orleans, Myrtle Beach, Big Sur in California, San Diego 3 times, Phoenix three times, Va. Beach, St. Louis, Disney twice in Orlando.
Other than the above - working and raising children. I have one son who aspires to be an actor and will be in a movie called "Up in the Air" with George Clooney, one who is a Police Officer in the Fort Worth TX area, one who is a videographer, one who works for a cable company, and one who sells insurance.
