Hi Everyone,

I'm going to be posting some pictures of the "old days" that a lot of you are in.  See if you can recognize any of our classmates.

This is a photo of my Cub Scout group courtesy of Don Rice.  It is Den 8 Troop 195 from Rice School.  It was taken on a field trip to the Sea Fox.  Den mother was Mike Hall's mother and the scoutmaster was Chuck Wischstadt's father.  I can identify front row L to R:  Don Rice, ?, Bill Lang, ?.  Second row L to R:  Chuck Wischstadt, George Wingate, George Marquez, Mike Hall, and Dennis Mason, and ?.  Anyone know the rest?

These two pictures are from our Little League team which was sponsored by Rohr.  The first is from 1953 and the second is from 1956.  The second picture was taken at the Little League field which is now the soccer field at CVHS on the corner of 5th and L Streets.

This is a picture of me at Navy housing in Old Town on Congress Street. These quonset huts were my first home in San Diego.  With such a large Navy contingency, I wondered how many of you might have lived here as well.  Yes, that is a rope tied to me to keep me from running away.  Today this would be child abuse!

Anyone remember Mr. Wootters and the glee club uniforms?  Mr. Wootters had one hand missing and a hook at the end of it.  He smacked some kid with that hook one time -- he'd get fired for that today.  This picture was taken when I was in the seventh grade -- 1959.  Rosie remembers Mrs. Kazmaier as the girl's glee club teacher.  Why were they separate classes??? Thought this might jog some memories!

I went down to the Eastlake Tavern and Bowl today (I was in the neighborhood).  It is quite a large space and apparently it will all be needed.  The fellow there said that they are expecting 220+ people????!!!!!  Need to get there early.

My wife, Kelley, and I had a wonderful time reconnecting with friends at both the mixer and dinner. It is my goal to keep in touch more do as not to have too much time between visits. Great work by the committee! I know how hard it is to put something like this together. There were a few "holes" in the group from those who could not make it. We missed you. I live in Fontana, CA.
