This from Nancy's son Doug.

For all of my life, my mother has not been healthy by any means. She is a two time cancer survivor, full kidney failure with 2-1/2 years on dialysis (4x a week), & more back/nerve issues than I can count. Through this all, she never complained or put herself in front of others. Her family & friends were always first!

On 9/22/2012, she had a stoke that paralyized her left side. This was the last fight she took on & she decided to go her way & on her terms. We brought her home on Thursday night & she spent a lovely Friday with her childhood friends & family. Her last request was to spend time outside to get fresh air & see her flowers. This was a wish we granted & provided the attached picture.

She passed peaceful this morning at 7:30 AM with my Dad by her side & family surrounding her then and all through the night. She graced us with one last open eyes & a tear down her face. She was an amazing women, wife & mother that will never be forgotten!

Please keep my Dad in your prayers & our family, as well!

Doug, you wrote a wonderful tribute to your mother. I remember Nancy in high school, and she was very sweet and friendly. It's nice to know that despite her health issues, she led a productive life with a family who loved her very much. It is apparent that she was a strong and caring woman. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
