George Frey 8-27-1944 - 2-26-2016
George was born on August 27, 1944 and passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016. George was a resident of Middlebury, Indiana at the time of his passing. He George earned his Masters of Divinity degree at Louisville Seminary and became a Presbyterian Minister. He received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Eden Theological Seminary. He served in Viet Nam as a Force Recon Marine where he was wounded and received a purple heart and additional awards. He was married to Kathy. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday February 29 2016 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home Elkhart followed by a memorial service with Military Honors by the Marines and Middlebury American Legion. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Loveway Inc. or the Center for Hospice Care.

So sorry to hear of George’s passing. He was the first boy I dated at WHS. Always a nice guy and obviously a hero. RIP

I met George at Bond Hill Prebyterian Church in the 1950's. We became good friends during that time. He always had a smile and a laugh. He was a good guy and obviously grew up to be a very good man. Wish I could have stayed in touch.
