Heimbach, Joseph P. Beloved husband of 42 years to Ruth Heimbach (Galster). Loving father of Michelle Beth (Chris) Remy, Jennifer Rose Petruk, and Rebecca Jo-Sarah Heimbach. Grandfather of Hannah Remy, Luke Remy, Brennan Remy, and Rylan Joseph Petruk. Joe was the owner of Tool Designers, Inc. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Joe was an outstanding grandfather and was known as "Papa Joe". Passed away suddenly on May 15, 2014 at the age of 70. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd., LIBERTY TWP., Ohio, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Dragonfly Foundation, P.O. Box 334, Mason, OH 45040.

I of course knew Joe since high school. Reconncected with Joe at our 40th reunion and formed closer friendship. I looked forward to seeing Joe at our monthly lunches, dive dates and reunions. My wife and i were fortunate enough to spend two weeks with Ruth and Joe on an Alaskan Cruise/Bus Tour several years ago.
Joe invited me to breakfast with a group of mostly Bond Hill classmates which get together once a week. Rekindled some old friendships and some new ones because of that invitation.
Joe was great father to his three girls and grandfather to their children. He was an active participant in their lives. He will be missed by all of us.

I am so sorry to hear that Joe passed away. There is nothing more difficult in life than losing someone you love. Each life, no matter how brief, forever changes the world. Joe will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. My deepest sympathy to Joe's family and friends.
