Iris's husband is one of a kind and he wrote so lovingly.  Five days before she passed we talked on whatsapp so we got to see each other just as if we were together in her living room.  We ended the conversation saying that I'll call again on her birthday but I guess she didn't want to wait.  I still can't believe my good friend is not with us.  She was an amazing person and I will miss her very much.  RIP

So sorry to hear we have lost another classmate.  Iris was such a lovely person, inside and out.  May she rest in peace.  Bobbie (Johnson) Rizzo

Iris and I had been close friends since the 5th grade. We spent hours going back and forth between her house and mine, which was one block over. When we were 13, we embarked on our first business venture- a day camp in my backyard for neighborhood children. We we went on to many more wonderful times. Iris and I even chose the same profession, Speech Pathology. We graduated together from UC, along with Mim Omer, who was also a Speech Path major. We kept up our friendship throughout the years, even though she was in California for most of our adult lives. I will miss her more than words can say.

I sat beside Iris in several classes and whenever some problem arose, she would always say "oh veh" which I incorporated into my vocabulary and always think fondly of her every time I say "oh veh"!  May she Rest In Peace and maybe we'll meet up again someday.

What a wonderful tribute to Iris.  She truly lived a fulfilling life.  She was a caring and sweet person when I knew her in high school.  Prayers and thoughts are with her family.
