Don Mitchell

After graduation from Colonel White, I attended Nyack College followed by a year at Jaffray School of Missions. Met Judy at Nyack and married in 1964.

After three years as pastor in Troy, PA, we, with our adopted 2 year old daughter went to the Philippine Islands where we taught in a Bible Institute and worked with Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches. We adopted our son Don during our first furlough in 1973, and returned to the Philippines for two more four-year terms.

In 1983 I studied for a Master's degree in communication at Wheaton Graduate School, then taught three years at Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Georgia. Hoping to return to the Philippines, I resigned from Toccoa. Then we determined we could not return overseas.

In 1987 we came to Indiana where I have pastored in two churches and also did a few years as a nursing home administrator. In September, 2010, I retired. We hope to soon move to Indianapolis to be nearer our children and grandchildren.
