5 perfect grandchildren
My Granddaughter is at Grand Valley State University. One of my grandsons is a senior at Walled Lake Northern and a freshman at Oakland Community college.
The other three grandchildren go to Pinckney schools.

I was a politician for over 25 years. as a Wayne County Charter Commissioner we wrote the only county charter in the state. i was the treasurer and we returned 10% of our budget to the state. Gov. Milliken said that it was the only time a government body returned money.
then i went to the legislature in 1985. the capitol wasn't designed for female legislators. we shared a broom closet for a bathroom. i sponsored and got passed the welfare reform budget bill. also passed legislations that says don't do business with anyone who won't give you an address. Sponsored the Child Care Challenge when this was a concern for working moms. i finished my career as a Wayne County Commissioner, the only Republican. You can only imagine that experience. When i ran for Mayor of Livonia and lost, i packed it in and retired. it was time to move on.
Now I care for family members who require my assistance.
I will be inducted in the Livonia Hall of Fame in October.
Many classmates helped my with my campaigns.

Catherine Dritsas and I were remembering Linda STultz's campaign for secretary. I still remember the song Catherine wrote. She is no longer Cathy. She is a very good attorney.
Penny Albert and Carol Long and I sang together for many years. We are still close.
I am very grateful to hear from so many old friends. i couldn't believe i heard from Sandra Browning. I have tried to find her over the years but i didn't know her married name.

attended Schoolcraft College. Have an honorary degree from Schoolcraft Community College in Livonia.
after many years i graduated from Madonna College now a university with a social science degree.

we own a home in The Villages

I was in Paris on 9-11. i'll never forget that trip.

We winter in The Villages Florida and I'm wondering if anyone else lives here? I have heard about two grads.

Went to Thomas Houghton Grade School and I am still friends with many of my classmates. Carol Long Burman and Penny Albert Wilkie and I are planning a Thomas Houghton reunion at my home on Friday night. Is anyone interested? i live only a couple of miles from Embassy Suites.
