After graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 1964, I began my teaching career in Northville where I taught 4th grade at Main St. Elem. School. The next year I taught 3rd grade at Patchen Elem. School in Westland. I then retired from teaching for a number of years to stay home and raise our two children. Prior to moving to AZ in 1984, I worked in the Wayne-Westland School District in PreSchool Special Education.
The last 15 years, before retiring in 2002, were spent teaching 3rd grade in Gilbert, AZ at Islands Elem. and Playa del Rey Elem. Schools.

Currently, I am volunteering in PJ's First Grade classroom.

One of my favorite memories was being in Miss Doll's English class. I remember we traded pencils to grade another classmates test or quiz. Her reasoning behind it was that no two pencils were alike.
Who else remembers that?

Trips to Hawaii in 1995 and 2005, three memorable trips to Ireland (2000, 2002. and 2007), Alaskan cruise in Aug. 2007 and New England and Canadian cruise to celebrate our 46th anniversary in Sept. 2008.

In March of 2010 we enjoyed a 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise on the Norwegian Star.....same ship we went to Alaska on in Aug. 2007.

Trips to Ireland the summers of 2016 and 2017.

Lived in Michigan until 1962. Married in
CA while Ray was stationed with the Army at Ft. Mac Arthur. Returned to Michigan in 1963, lived in South Lyon for two years. Moved to Westland where we lived until we moved to AZ in 1984.
