If anyone is canceling a trip to the west coast of Florida because of the oil spill, don't.  Naples beaches are fine.  We don't expect a problem unless a hurricane stirs things up.  I have posted a picture of the country club where I work on my class profile for those of you that haven't been to Naples - yet.  (I should work for the Chamber of Commerce)

Sabina, you're so smart!!  Ditto for Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel, and Captiva--all beautiful, except for the usual afternoon thundershower that clears up so you can usually see the beautiful evening sunset.  No oil----yet.

i was very inspired by a friend of mine in Coral Springs, Mayor Scott Brook, who just went to San Diego to run a "half marathon in honor of his friend Eddie....and I thought "wow" what if we did that for my pal, and pal to all of us...Mike Auerbach, and we could expand it to include everyone else.....allf our passed-on brothers and sisters...anyone feel this way?

It is too confusing to have this website as anything other then the class of 1968. Guests from ELMS-other graduates or teachers- can register as a guest. Carrie - You mentioned a hail storm a while back.  There was one here in Naples last week!  My car was hit with tiny white pellets - what a noise they made on the roof of the Explorer.

Way back when the class website first started we were talking about radio jingles (anyone remember the conversations?).  Well anyway, every year when the kids go back to school I think of the "Robert Hall" jingle - Bells are ringing, children singing, it's back to Robert Hall again.  Mother knows for better clothes, it's back to Robert Hall again.  Did anyone really shop at Robert Hall?

Carrie - I went on a Carribean cruise once and I wasn't crazy about it.  We have sun and sand here in Florida.  However, I went on a cruise of the Greek islands several years ago - fantastic.  Talk Den into it.

 My family had dinner every Sunday at Young's Tea Garden & then we would go to Carvel to get my grandmother a strawberry sundae for dessert.  Many fond memories.

To those of us that went to Disney last November -

Remember the International Wine & Food Festival they had at Epcot?  Apparently they have that every year, the last two weeks of October and the first of November.  It was so much fun.  Now I've got to see the Harry Potter theme park - I'm just a kid at heart.

Next time you come through Naples, call me, especially this time of year.  The summer is always slow and I usually take time off for long weekends.  As for the heat, it's been between 92 and 95 since the beginning of April. 

Let me know if you plan on any trips to Orlando again.  I'd love to see the Harry Potter attraction but none of my friends here in Naples are interested.
