Thanks for letting us know, Walter. I remember Stu from high school. We all use to hang out together. We called him the "honorary Italian". He was a really nice guy. I'm sure you will miss your friend.

Thanks all.  One of the last times I actually saw Stu was on my Honeymoon in 1987.  He hitched a ride with us after the wedding in a private plane I was flying to Carmel for our Honeymoon.  We got diverted to Salinas because of fog in Monterey and he spend much of our first night with us waiting for his ride to show driving over from the Monterey airport.  The three of us (Stu, myself and my wife Barb), ate most of the hotel snack basket and drank much of the little wine and booze bottles in the hotel fridge waiting for Stu's ride.   We finally had to toss him out of the room to wait outside so we could spend some of our wedding night alone!  I think if we hadn't made him leave (he took a bottle of wine with him to occupy himself while waiting) he would have wound up sleeping in between us!

I heard from Stu's wife this morning and while she appreciates everyone's condolences,  she has asked that no one contact her.  My bad for including her email address.  I'll see if I can edit it out of my previous post.

Ellen sounds like you are having a great trip.

Sorry to hear about Stuart. It is always sad when a classmate dies.

Hope everyone in the NE is staying warm. Good thing we don't live in Buffalo!

Ellen-Welcome back to reality and to cold weather!

As I get older I find it takes longer to get over the jet lag!

To tell you the truth, the jet lag isn't bad - but coming back to this cold Boston weather is tough!

Happy Thanksgiving.

If the predictions hold true for those of us in the NE it will look more like Christmas!

Safe travels!

Happy Thanksgiving and regards to Elmont class of '68. Last winter did it for me. Now my wife and I are enjoying the weather in south Florida. Today it was kind of cold at around 65. Even so, Thanksgiving is a nice holiday to celebrate in the northeast. Enjoy.

happy Thanksgiving to one and all    I learned a new meaning to flipping the bird ......all week long I've been hearing to cook the turkey upside down for the first hour in order to keep it moist.....well I did that and it was a little difficult turning it back over   i had to put one hand up its butt and the other down its throat and hook or by crook I did it and it came out sooo moist the trick really works   gobble gobble everybody stay safe and have a happy holiday season

Last week my medicare card came in the mail !! I can't be that old! (And I certainly don't feel that old!) I'm too young to be on medicare!

Anybody else feel the same way?

Yes, just got mine as well recently - hard to believe, isn't it! Age is only a number, and the only thing I associate with it is "retired!"

Just got back from a wonderful Iceland Cruise. We started and ended in Reykjavik. If you ever get a chance I would strongly reccommend Iceland.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

Stopped over to refuel at Keflavik once and had to much wine to carry home. Customs said we could drink it there, leave it with them or throw it away. We drank it and slept the rest of the trip.

Last Thursday Sabina Musci was on LI and we met for lunch along with Vivian Fede. It was great seeing them! They haven't changed at all!

I might be heading to Florida in the spring. I already talked to Sabina about seeing her if we go. Any one else interested in meeting up in Florida?

I read in today's paper that Mrs.Goldschmidt died on 11/6 at the age of 97. She was a biology teacher at EMHS and a founding member of Temple B'nai Isrrael. I looked her up in the yearbook but I really don't remember her.

Good to see that Mrs. Goldschmidt lived such a long life and impacted young and old in such positive, caring ways. Be well, everyone! ~ Virginia (Ginger) Theroux Heacox

I never had her as a teacher but remember that students had good things to say about her. I believe her husband was also a teacher at EMHS. I wonder if he is still around?
