Tonight's gathering is not a formal party per se, but more like an invite to your old friends and acquaintainces to go out and have a drink together. The upside is that you don't need to go out, burn gas, burn jet fuel, spend a bucket of money, spend double price for the drink, put on your shoes, and put on your PPE. You just need to go on the link. We can hopefully rent the rooms and get cozy next year. Hope to see you all soon. Happy Birthday, Us.

The "zoom" gathering was a lot of fun. Just a relaxed get-together. Twice our large group broke up into small, completely random "breakout" rooms. We got to chat with classmates we found ourselves with and interested in regardless of whom we might have chosen to beforehand.

For me that was fun but there were a few there I really would like to have talked with more. I am sure we all felt that way so come back for "70th Birthday Gathering, part Two"

We will do it again next month so look for the announcement and link. Come again or come for the first time. See you soon!

Hello.. Everyone who was at the Class Reunion online Zoom meeting...

What an absolutely wonderful meeting it was! I thoroughly enjoyed it all until we lost electricity here and all went blank!  YES! I was there.. LOL  I could hear and see everyone very clearly but you could not hear or see me! Why and How-- I have no idea? I was the invisible (Cristine Boehringer).

So now you can call me the " Invisible Woman! "

Hopefully, I got that all fixed and for next meeting of the Minds....I will NOT be invisible!

Please let me know when you are going to do this again!  If there was any cost involved too I surely will chip in to help!  By the way.. Everyone looked wonderful and if I may say NO ONE looked at all like they were 70 years old! Hats off to all you Beautiful People there and I am soooooo looking forward to next time!

Smiles... and Stay Safe Everyone!   Cris B.

I really enjoyed seeiing and speaking to everyone. I am a big fan of breakout rooms so that everyone gets a chance to speak to a smaller group.

I am happy to put this together again. I was looking at the calendar and wonder if the first or second week in December might work best. November is such a hectic month between the election week and Thanksgiving. For many those first two weeks in December are relatively quiet.

I agree - I thoroughly enjoyed our 70th birthday Zoom. Not only was it great to chat in the larger group, but the breakout rooms gave us a chance to talk with friends with whom we keep in touch, it also allowed us to chat with classmates we hadn't been in touch with and wouldn't have had a chance to talk at a reunion.

Cris, sorry you had technical issues, but you are not alone. I heard from others as well; hopefully everyone will sort out and resolve their issues.

Early December sounds like a good time to plan another get-together. Hopefully, more classmates will join in!

Yes!  I agree to meet with classmates was a treasure. To hear about the journeys my peers have taken in life is amazing. Although so many different paths, this pandemic has taken us all to a similar place in life.  I would love to connect with more of my classmates.  I am in awe of what we all have accomplished!  Hang in there!

Hope all are doing well from our Class Of 68 and Everyone in the World!

When is the next zoom meeting...If I may ask?

I cannot imagine teaching my 4th graders now . It must be a lot of extra work teaching children online and

at the schools.  Some are tossing back and forth! I would have been okay cause I used computers in my classrom here in Charlotte when I taught here..but it was a lot of work setting the programs up and all.

God Bless all our essential workers! May they all stay safe!

Think of others as you venture out and be Safe Always!

Looking forward seeing you all at the next " Meeting of them Minds!!\

Smiles.. Always.... Cris B.

We are considering the dates of December 22 and 23 and will make a final decision this week. Will keep you posted as soon as a decision is made. Let us know if any particular date is better for you.

I will try to make any date work. December 22 is preferred, or any time this month or next as holiday celebrations are likely very subdued due to Covid. Keeping in touch is a lift to the spirit. Take care, all ~ Ginger

Ok, so I have a question.  Hard to see it but the uniform shown has a skirt. (and there are separate elastic legged shorts).  Wasn't this uniform for "Leader Corps?"  I don't even know exactly what they did, but.....I found this is a batch of stuff from my sister's, Judith Bach, stuff.  However, it is brand new and still has the tag attached to it.  Does ANYONE know why my sister had this?  Was she accepted to Leader Corps and then didn't join?  It really surprised me finding this today.  I forgot that there was a whole bunch of stuff in a suitcase.  Included were some baby outfits of hers, some really nice 1940's style dresses, and other interesting things.

This is a longshot, but there's nobody and nowhere else I could even possibly think of to ask.

Happy Chanukah to all who celebrate and an early Merry Christmas to those who celebrate Christmas.

Ilene Bach

It does look like a Leader Corps uniform. But I have no ide why your sister had it.
