I can't wait for the reunion! It will be a great time to see everyone and reconnect with old friends. Celebrate Eureka's 150th anniversary and the Class of 1989 20 year reunion! It's going to be an exciting weekend! So, join us, come home to Eureka.

I don't know who was the brain child behind this site, but I say you are brilliant!! Thanks for getting the reunion together and putting this website together!! You guys are awesome!!

Very cool website! I'm grateful for the updated photos as I know I will have MAJOR anxiety about recognizing people at the reunion! And as soon as my 9 year old can get around to it, I'll be adding some pix to my profile as well! (still techno-challenged!)

OK, I must be getting old! I don't remember going on a field trip to Chicago our junior year (see the picture on the home page), but I must have gone since I can see myself in the photo. Must have been a memorable experience! Wonder how much my parents forked out for that one!? Hee, hee! Anyone want to refresh my memory on why we went and what we did??

I remember the trip to Chicago walking around the University of Chicago and Frank Lloyd Wright bldgs...don't know if the picture was taken from that trip or not since I'm not in it! I was such a social freak! HA HA!

Yesterday I was looking back at old yearbooks and I ran across a funny comment signed in my E.M.S. Hornet yearbook 1982 from Kristy Hohulin: "Shawn, even though kind of weird your ok. Kristy" I laughed so hard...thanks for validating my personality even back then! I'm still weird and still okay! However I'm happy to report I am much more social though!! Can't wait to see everyone next year!!

I remember walking in a not so good part of town and having a police escort. I also remember riding the "L" on the field trip.

Since I remember it fondly like it was yesterday: Darlene Harper and Shawn Staley stood up in front of the whole auditorium, during the annual talent shows, dressed as country bumpkins (aka: hillbillies) with tissues hanging out of their nose singing, "I'm just picking my nose for you! Pickin' my nose for you. You may think it's boogers but it's ss snot" (emphasize the "p" in picking so the tissue blows up away from the face for drama)...it was hilarious! What creativity, what courage, what camaraderie! That's what friendships should be made of! What this country should be founded on...pickin' each others boogers...lending a helping hand...okay maybe not the green, gooey stuff but that's what unconditional love is all about!

Anyone remember forking superintendent McIntyre's house with me? I know it wasn't my idea--I was never that smart or devious, but it was hilarious and has come up lately in conversation. It's making me crazy because I can't remember who was involved. For some reason I'm thinking Carrie Klaus instigated the entire thing! Anyone willing to fess up?

I'm beginning to have a deeper respect for all my "smart" fellow classmates since reading the comments on this website! Forking the superintendent's house....oh my!

Does anyone know if I got knocked out and mugged on the field trip in the bad part of Chicago?? I STILL can't remember anything about that trip, yet I am in the picture! How frustrating! It sounds like it was fun and exciting!

Erin,
I am so sorry you missed the "Booger Sisters"! What a shame! Another tidbit about that song -- it was always dedicated to Mrs. Eckert.
And, how awful that we had a trophy catagaory of "most likely to rob Hucks"! Whose idea was that anyway?? You are a great person!

Randy,
Yes, I remember you! I'm glad you "came out of your shell"! Welcome to the site and thanks for all you have done and are doing for our country!

Everyone,
Let's all write in "Jason Garkey" next presidential election!
