20 years and all the talk of a reunion has made me a little nostalgic. My life could not be better. I have more than I could ever ask for and been blessed with two fine sons. I have grown up with no enemies and no ill will to a single person except Steve Spurrier.
After graduation, I went to Georgia, of course. I worked for Camelot Music in Athens and wound up managing a store in Atlanta after college graduation. After a few things, like a tornado hitting the duplex I shared with Travis Williams, I ran back to Augusta. I wound up running into Elizabeth Wilkinson who brought focus to my life. (Whoever thought I would marry the prettiest girl in school? Especially me! Go figure) I worked for First Union Bank and then Wachovia for a total of about 8 years and then wound up working for a pharmaceutical company in sales for 7 years. Then, about 6 months ago I got a call from an old banking cohort and he asked me to come back to banking with a local company. Eventually, the decision was made to come back to banking where I serve as VP of Private Banking. My office is at the old Enterprise Mill downtown. I LOVE IT! I am the current President of the Augusta Bulldog and Alumni Club and I sit of the Board of the Augusta Chapter of the UGA National Alumni Association. With these duties, I am charged to help run an organization dedicated to raising money for local children's charities as well as the UGA Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I guess I will always be here in Augusta. The more I travelled with the pharma job, the more I realized I don't fit anywhere more than 90 miles from Athens. I still have most of the same best friends I always had. A few memorable names outside our own class are Kelly Gallup, David Henslee (who works for Hendrick Motorsports-I'M SO PROUD!), Brian Scheyer, Tim Milton, Landry Townsend, and Brian Stock. I still keep tabs on Travis, Jeff McMillan, Neil Revelle (all of whom I deeply miss being here) and several others. I really hope David Ridener shows himself. I had a great high school life and I still love everybody. We came up in great times, did we not? I would not trade having been a teen in the 80s for all the money in the world.
