Glenview Chamber of Commerce celebrates the
Dr. Mike Nolan DDS
and the
Business Person of the Year
We'd like to honor these individuals who have continually served the community, although there are certainly countless other businesses in Glenview that have stepped up and made a difference. Nolan & Freund Dental Professionals have been in business in Glenview for over 60 years, with owners who are both residents and active participants in several not-for-profits such as the Glenview Park Foundation where they help organize its largest fundraiser, the Firecracker Golf Outing, the League of Very Ordinary Gentlemen (LVOG) which provides scholarships & equipment to Glenview families who can’t afford to put their children through sports andmusic programs and sponsor the Glenview Chamber’s annual “Leadership Glenview” program which paves the way for twenty local leaders to get fully immersed in the many facets of what makes Glenview the place we love to live and work.
Many can attest, Dr. Mike Nolan, Dr. Chad Freund, and the entire staff at Nolan & Freund are seen throughout the community whether that’s volunteering, biking, playing softball, or working an event table. What’s not so visible is that they also participate in an annual mission trip to Mexico (and other countries) to provide free dental work to unprivileged patients. They provide free dental work to veterans. They volunteer their time at Dental Access Days which is a Chicago not-for-profit which provides dental care to people in poverty and those with mental health challenges.
Additionally, Frank Sclavenitis, of American Solutions for Business, has been awarded 2024 Business Person of the Year. Active on the Glenview Chamber Board as well longtime member of the Ambassador Committee and Holiday in the Park & Parade committee playing an active role in the community. Frank supports numerous organizations in town and Frank is always involved with making Glenview and its people his number one priority. Whether it be his weekly volunteer work for the Farmer's Market, his participation helping organize the Holiday Parade, his consistent attendance at Kiwanis meetings, Frank is really here to help others and it shows. He's someone younger members should look up to in that he offers real time with no need for recognition. He does a great job with printing many businesses marketing, which is essential for us to do our jobs and touch more people.
The Chamber recognized the winners at our Business After Hours & Awards event on January 8. This event was held at Renaissance Chicago Glenview Hotel Suites and sponsored by Busey Bank. In the meantime, please help us celebrate these great people and organizations who epitomize our mantra Shop Local, Love Local.
A 100 year old nonprofit, the Glenview Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to ensuring that Glenview is a great place to live, work, and own a business. The Chamber presents community events, runs business-building programs, offers leadership and other training, and generates several community publications.
