I would love to come to your reunion and will not miss it if at all possible. The memories
from your class years still relish in my mind. ~ Carolyn Mama Glass

I would love to attend, even though it’s been forever since I was at GBS! I do run into former students from time to time (mostly on Facebook these days!) and have the best of memories from my 10 years teaching there. Still recall those fabulous Orchesis shows, our outstanding Math Team and the Powderpuff football game we had my first year at South (teachers vs. the winning intramural team).
I regret that I will not be able to be part of the festivities due to the fact that I will be running the Chicago Marathon for the first time that weekend.
Have a wonderful “belated” 30th reunion! Let’s see, you guys are approaching the big 5–0 as well, aren’t you? Here’s a thought from my high schoolgraduating class, Riverside-Brookfield class of ’70: Have a 50th birthday party for your class next year.
We did it at the bar of a local bowling alley which just happened to be having Karaoke that night. We decorated the place, had a huge banner (which we brought out again at our 35th reunion) and had a great turnout from the locals as well as some crazy out-of-towners. Your class is just unconventional enough to make something like that work! I will miss you. Have fun! And if any of you owns a company, I am looking for corporate sponsors to donate to World Vision, the organization for which I am running. (Small donations also accepted.) www.firstgiving.com/lindablanco
Wow – time really does fly, doesn’t it?

The friends I had from childhood and high school will always be the closest to me. There is something about having that long of a history with someone that holds a kind of intimacy that is unique. It was a time of pure relationships, without all the hassles of adult life. We had fun. ~ Karen Pulfer (Focht)

Counting the days now to the reunion, and I can't wait!
Why am I coming to the reunion?
Because High school reunions enable us to look at the past,
reflect on the fun we once had, and make us wonder, as the years have scurried by,
why we didn't keep in touch with more of our high school "pals".
I love being taken back to a time, when life was carefree and reminds us of those teenage days, when we
didn't worry about the future, and didn't know what was yet to come!
Seeing people from the past, that we once saw every day,
brings back that special bond of those that we shared experiences with, that linked us together.
GBS was one of the best times of my life...
those days that I will always remember...
and they are the days that started me on the road of who I have become! I can't wait to see everyone there! ~ Sherie S. Thomas

Thanks, it sounds like a great deal of fun. It might be a bit of a stretch, coming from northwest Arkansas, but I'll see what I can do. Keep me in the loop.~ Mike Lyons - Social Studies

I redly regret that I cannot make arrangements to attend your class of 1978 reunion, but I hope you all have a great time. I fondly remember 1978 at GBS and the students I had in US history class. I enjoyed coaching sophmore tennis and the relationships I had with my fellow staff members. Clearly, it was a high point in my teaching career. I
currrently live in Bella Vista, Arkansas, with my wife, Marilyn, who also taught at GBS, three dogs and a cat.Good luck at your shindig, fondly, Mike Lyons

Can't wait! ~ Lauren Brill

There is something to be said about old (but not old!) friends, who knew you during the formative years, chatted often with your parents, and watched you set off to pursue your dreams. There are a handful of high school friends that I have kept in touch with through the years who are truly like family to me. There are also those who I haven't seen much over the years but still think about often. Reunions are a great place to reconnect. ~ Linda (Smith) Travis

- I just wanted to say hi to all my "old" friends.
This year we are having our 30th Class reunion, as usual our class is running a bit late.

I personally missed the 20th for personal reasons and have regretted it for the last 10 years. I wouldnt want to miss this one and have regrets for another 10. Please join me in attending and we can all have a blast and remember some of the good old days. ~ Steven Goodman

Thanks for all your efforts toward this! ~ Jodi Sherman

To the Class of 1978:
The time is getting really close for the big day. We need your help to find more classmates. A lot of people are working vigorously at this time.
We need MORE HELP! Everyone that knows someone, try to find at least 2 more classmates and then they can find 2 more.
The more we put this out, the better the outcome will be. The more the merrier!
LETS HAVE SOME FUN!
Cheers and have a great weekend! Go Packers and #4, ~ David Janschutz

I am very excited for our upcoming reunion and I cannot wait to see old friends. I actually found an 8x14 picture from our 20 year reunion and I counted 136 in the two pictures. I know that we can do much better than that. I live in Colorado and already have my airline ticked booked to be back in Glenview for the weekend.
I also plan to commandeer my father’s 1970 Red Cougar Convertible so that our class can participate in the parade. If you have access to a convertible and want to participate as well (we can also have many walk as well) please get in touch with me.
If you have not already gone to the website and signed up to confirm your reservation please do so ASAP. I look forward to seeing all of you and rekindling some old friendships.~ Mike Novick michaelnovick@msn.com 720-244-3376 Cell
