I went to University of Colorado (2 years), University of Denver (BA), Loyola University (MSW,LCSW), and completed a graduate program in Family Therapy.
I have been a TV producer for ABC in Washington DC; an editor for several educational publications in Cambridge, MA; a teacher and TV host in St. Croix, Virgin Islands; a sales manager, hospice social worker, CEU educator, and private geriatric care manager in Chicago/Evanston/Glencoe; hospice bereavement coordinator in Denver; psychotherapist in Breckenridge; and currently a psychotherapist working with homicide cases and other traumas in Tucson, AZ.
I am on my second marriage.
Favorite Glenbrook South Teacher and Why:
Dr. Lund. He taught me to comprehend how important history is in evaluating the world and in one's own life. He demanded the best of me intellectually.
Where have you traveled outside of US?
All of the states (except Alaska), all of the Caribbean, all of Europe and Eastern Europe, Morocco, Turkey, New Zealand, Fiji, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, and most of Mexico
What would we be surprised to know about you?
I am a fitness nut. I ran marathons for 15 years. I was an avid skier, until my third ACL. I have exercised (yoga to weights), almost every day, for 50 years.
What did you always want to do but haven't done yet?
Simplify my life. Travel until I can't enjoy it.
How old do you feel?
Whatever my body tells me that day and what my mind can accept.
