Hey Becky, let me know if your ears starting burning Sunday. ;)

I'm sure this won't be the last time we get together. In fact, I hope we add a lot of people and make it a yearly event.

Today was a BLAST!!! Thank you again Randy and Gigi for hosting the reunion. It was perfect in every way. Can't wait to get together again soon. Susan Long...where in the heckamonga were you? You and Cheryl Luteman were missed.

I can't begin to explain how much seeing everyone yesterday means to me! Thanks to Randy and Gigi for opening their home to us. My heart is full of good memories and I wish everyone love and continued happiness until the next time we get together.

Randy,

Sorry I could not make it to the reunion on Sunday, I was somewhat under the weather. Thanks for the pictures, everyone looks great. Hope that we don't wait to long before we get together again. I made to the Smith reunion and saw some good friends there. I hope that we all can keep in touch now that Randy has done such a great job setting this site up. Lawrence Hockett called me from China last week around midnite which was ok to chat awhile. I hope to make it in for Thanksgiving to my moms house, would like to maybe have lunch with anyone who can make it. Keep in touch, Terry

Hey Terry,

You were missed, man. Hope you're doing ok. Let us know when you're coming down and let's try to get a few people together for lunch or something. If nothing else maybe we can get a few locals over to the house one evening and shoot some pool.

I finally have email at home...yeah!!!

I had such a great time last Sunday. It was so good to see everyone. Thanks Randy and GiGi for offering your lovely home for our gathering. You sure do have a fun place to entertain and the weather was wonderful. I left the get together and drove straight to Ritz Camera to get my pictures developed and to get a CD. I couldn't wait to see everyone all over again.

I have a funny thing to tell everyone. I was in CVS picking up a prescription for my Mom and I happened to hear the name of the next person in line and it was "Donald Stowe". I knew it sounded familiar so I asked him if he had been a principal. He said yes, at Lindley Jr. High. I told him about our get together and how most of us agreed that Lindley held our favorite school memories even over high school. He then asked me why we didn't invite him. We both laughed and I told him we would next time and he said his number was in the book. (I'm sure he wasn't serious though.)

I look forward to seeing everyone again and maybe with time we can add a few more people. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Hey BB.. glad to have you back! :)

I'm glad we didn't wait another week - the leaves are really falling now. Next year let's do it earlier while everything is still nice and green.

Let's invite Mr. Stowe next time. Somebody bring a paddle and we'll make him bend over and pose for the camera. :o

Carol Mabe (Batchelor)

Hey Barbara, glad you are reconnected! Thanks so much for sharing the pictures. How funny that you saw Mr. Stowe, I hate to admit it , but I kinda thought he might not be around any more-if you know what I mean. Anyway, the pictures were great and I can't wait to see everyone again, it didn't seem like long enough to really talk to everyone as much as I wanted.

11/08/08 03:00 PM #46

Sarah Kay (Hoyle)

I agree with Carol. I was so excited to see everyone, but then I felt like I really didn't get get to talk to people like I would have liked. I hate to tell Randy and Gigi this, but next time I am planning to stick around a long time.

11/08/08 03:29 PM #47

Randy Melton

No problem, Sarah. Next time we'll just have everyone bring their sleeping bags and we'll have a good old fashioned sleep-over. ;)

I actually felt the same way... hated to see everyone leave. I don't know about you guys, but I felt years younger pretty much all weekend. I wish we could have one of those "The Big Chill" weekends when everyone could just meet somewhere for a few days and really have the time to talk as much as we want. If the stock market turns around next year maybe Gigi and I can buy that big 'ol vacation cabin up in the mountains we've always wanted. :)

Hello To Everyone!

Carol, you can't imagine how good if feels to be able to check the "message forum" regularly to keep up with all you guys. When I was laid-off October 1st until the time we had the get together, I was going crazy with curiosity to know what everybody was up to. I finally got a computer at home and it has given me such a great thrill to know my buddies are just a click away. Every time I check the message forum and realize there is another new comment or two you would think I was a kid in a candy store...I get so excited.

Susan, we sure did miss you at the get together. I thought Randy told me that you were coming and it was so much fun being in the basement and realizing the door was opening and another familiar face was about to appear. It was like watching The Price Is Right when the announcer says "(Name) Come On Down". You would have thought we were all celebrities. I kept watching for you and was disappointed when I realized you weren't going to make it. YOU WERE MISSED!!!

Note for picture takers: Get your pictures turned in to Randy so he can post them for everyone to see. It doesn't matter if they were good or bad send them in.

I mailed a set of pictures to Leigh Ann since she didn't have a computer. I was somewhat relieved to know that I wasn't the only person without one.

Randy, I agree, I did feel younger that weekend. Lots of memories rushing back. As far as inviting Mr. Stowe and having him bend over for a "paddle shot" I'm not sure how that would fly. It's funny but I still feel like Mr. Stowe has some type of authority power over us. He didn't seem to recognized my name (because I was mostly good back then) but I'm sure he would have recognized some of you boys (and maybe wild child Sarah) had I mentioned your names...ha! ha!

As you all can tell I'm loving my email...bye for now!

Love ya,
Barbara

I have sat idle long enough. Randy, thanks for pulling this together. I debated about going to the LJH reunion and decided not to go. I wish that I had now. I find myself checking this site and the Grimsley site several times through the week. The pictures from the reunion are fun to see and all of you look great!! I have posted a picture of me and my wife and my crazy cat. I will keep checking the site and will make a serious effort to make the next get together.

Timmah!

About time you finally showed up dude. You missed a nice little get-together, but don't worry it won't be the last. 'ol "box head" and his gang are playing at Cooper's Ale House on West Market St. here in Greensboro on Nov. 22nd if you want to come out and heckle with the rest of us. I don't how many of us will be there but it should be at least a handful or so.

11/13/08 07:18 PM #51

Carol Mabe (Batchelor)

Hey, I'll come up for "boxheads" band if you guys will commit to a get together at Coopers. Now that we have connected, I really want to keep this going. Just let me know, I'm only 2 hours away... in drug rep land that's nothing!

11/14/08 09:56 AM #52

Tim Leitner

That sounds like fun. I am so out of touch with the bar and band scene. What time does "box head" start kicking?

11/15/08 10:29 AM #53

Randy Melton

According to Joey they're going to start playing between 9:00 and 9:30. The address is 5340 West Market St. I'll be sending an e-mail out to everyone about it shortly.

11/18/08 09:39 PM #54

Joey Armeniox

Hey! Don't hate me cause I have hair. BTW I think you have me confused with another "Box head" Nevertheless, "Boxhead" and the ABCND crew will be playing music at Cooper Ale House round 9 or 9:30 pm

11/23/08 04:10 PM #55

Sarah Kay (Hoyle)

Well, does Joey still have it after all these years?

11/23/08 08:48 PM #56

Joey Armeniox

Well,
I'll say this...I forgot how hard it is to stay up past 10:30! Does this mean I'm old "O MY GOD!!!!!"
Thanks to everyone who came out Sat night. We had a great time playing, and it was so good to see all of the friends again. I'm sorry I couldn't spend more time with everyone. Keith, I wish we could have visited longer. BTW, Coopers has invited us to return, so we must have done something right. On another note, I hope everyone has a Happy T'giving and a wonderful holiday season!

11/24/08 08:38 AM #57

Randy Melton

Sunday morning reminded me once again why I shouldn't stay up past 12:30 and drink a lot of beer, but I have to say it was worth it. Joey and the guys have a great sound and I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing a lot more of them around here in the future. What time did you guys finish playing anyway... 1:00?

Richard Jarrett was there along with Keith Pierce, Gary and Angie Fulp and Brian Kirkman. It was great seeing Brian and Keith again after so much time and they both looked great.

Sarah... Joey must still have something because there were plenty of women hanging out near the band. I didn't see any panties being thrown but we left a little early. :)

11/25/08 12:59 AM #58

Barbara Bowles (Armeniox)

I know everyone had a good time...I hate I couldn't be there. I thought about you guys all evening. Did anyone think to take any pictures of Keith, Brian or the band to add them to our photo collection? (You guys know I love pictures.)

Joey: I know the band was awesome and I wish I could have been there to hear you sing. Any CD's available?

Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Love to everybody,

Barbara

You're in luck, BB. Check out www.cherrys.com/Lindley.htm for some camera phone pictures and a few short videos. Sorry about the quality but it was all I had on me.

Carol Mabe (Batchelor)

Hey guys, sorry I couldn't make it Sat, but work took up most of my weekend. I know it was a blast and I hate I missed Brian and Keith. I will make every effort to attend the next "concert".

Everyone have a peaceful Thanksgiving and don't forget to take time out to pick five things you are thankful for and share them with friends and family.

I know I am thankful for all of you.

Lawrence Hockett

So sorry i was not able to attend the reunion and not able to see and hear Joey's band play. I am however coming home for the holliday's and hope to meet up with Joey and Terry Watts. Would like to see you all ASAP,especially if not sooner then at the next reunion. I travel quite a bit and unfortunately it can be difficult to schedule some badly needed off time. I wish everyone peace and good health and best holliday wishes.

Lawrence,

Count me in, bud. My schedule is pretty flexible so let me know when you're going to be here and what kind of plan you guys come up with.

btw has anyone heard from Susan Long? I messaged her after the reunion but she never responded...
