Wow, alot has happended over the years. I served in Viet Nam right out of high school. Used the GI bill to get my nursing degree. Took in 29 foster children most being from the Wind River Indian. Went to Kenya, East Africa and did some volunteer nursing and will be heading back next year to become co-director of an orphanige in Kenya. I have 1 foster son who is 17. I have had him since his birth and he is a blessing in my life.

UPDATE I just almost forgot about this wonderful website, thanks to Steve Schley for all his hard work and Judy Ruiz Verhoek for turning me back on to this site. So many memories.
Anyway I am now in Ghana, West Africa working with disabled children at Buduburam Refugee Camp. The disease and poverty can sometimes be overwhelming but I have never been happier. I know this is where God wants me and where I belong.
Peace and Blessings To All,
Joe

School Story:

High school was probably the best years of my life. I made some great friendships and hope to reconnect with as many people as I can.

I was saddened hearing of J- Mo's passing. I agree with Leonard, George and Jeff, J- Mo was a man of many talents but I think his biggest talent was the way he made a friend. He was warm, welcoming and could make you laugh. The class of 70 and the world lost a very good man. We ALL will miss you my friend. Rest in perfect peace sucka head.

I remember Ted from drama class with Mr. Wilson. We were not real close but he was a likeable guy.  Rest in peace, Ted.

I really liked your story Doreen it was so our generation. I didn't know Sreve but he sounded like a real nice guy. I wish we had met in high school. May you rest in perfect peace, Steve.

Peace,

Joe
