The sad news of Jane Serbecks' passing was like a reality lightening bolt. I don't know where all the years went.
I wonder what happened to many of my classmates. Having a better long term memory than short term. I remember the little things that most didn't pick- up on. We call it trivia but being an artist, I always saw things out of the box so to speak.
I first met Jane in the 7th grade through 8th at George G. White School in Hillsdale,NJ and then in high school.
Jane was quiet and shy a lot like many of us. She was more reserved and always meticulously dressed. Her little cotton dresses were always freshly ironed, her socks were matching and folded down neatly, both at the same hight, shoes polished and always a smile on her face. I remember her hair flipping up at the ends which was the style back then. I'm saddened that I will never see her again at a reunion but I remember her well and always will. I was lucky to have known her. She will be missed by many.
