Nikolaos was the 8th of ten children of Evagelia Roussos and Andreas Vionis. He was born in Paros, Greece. At the age of 11, the family moved to Athens, where Nikolaos (Niko) finish the elementary. He started working at the age of thirteen at a print shop and at night he was going to high school. He loved to play soccer. He enlisted in the Greek Coast Guard. He worked as a carpenter. He was really good at that, and trust worthy. The company sent him to work at the palace of the king for about two weeks. At the age of 27 he left from Greece and came to Houston. He worked at his brother Steve's Greek restaurant, Athens Bar and Grill, for a couple of years. After that he worked at Star Furniture, he was very good at his job. For a few months he did construction and put up sheet tracks. Finally, on July 16, 1973, he opened his own business, a drive in restaurant Big Burger V.
July 16, 1975 He married in Greece and brought his wife Ekaterni Draganigou to Houston, and they had a son named Andreas.
Nick loved to go fishing and hunting with his brother, brother n law, friends, and family. He was preceded in death by his father Andreas, mother Evagelia, brother Steve, Kiostas; sister, Pantelia, Xanthe, and Despina. He survived by his wife Ekaterini, son Andreas, daughter in law Nancy and his grandchildren Anna-Marina and Niko. Also he survived by his brother Anastasios and wife Eleni, Bobby and his wife Stavroula, Panos and his wife Dina, and his sister Daphne. Nick is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends in Greece and in the states.
