I Read on your post about getting bricks from the demolishing of Sam. I would like to be on that list.
I'm a '59 graduate.

John #3556 ....No problem just letting y'all know why that topic came up again ~ I didn't want our fellow classmates to feel they can't bring up a topic if they need to. Death is something we will al have to face someday and might as well be prepared.

Now onto a topic you might like hearing about. ~ ~ ~

I have always wanted to tap dance.....from the time I can remember I still talk about it....The other day I told my husband I found he pair of tap shoes I'm going to buy.....but I didn't order them!!

Glad to hear you teach it and if I still lived in Houston I woud come take some lessons....oh well I will have to continue dancing without tap shoes. (I love to dance and do often)

First of all thank you for your service. Sorry for the loss of your wife.....Glad you are using the Verterans Cemetary. My Uncle and Aunt are there. He pasted away first and they then placed my Aunt's casket on top of his when she died. Some friends there as well. I'm talking about the one on Veterans Memorial near the Beltway. IS that where you are talking about?

The whole project (according to an article we found) will take until 2019. So we are not positive when they will get around to taking down the old building. The new ones are not done so I would think that has to be completed first so the kids will have a school to attend.

There is a link a few pages back if you want to read the whole article

Yes, Judy. that;'s the one. I told her when I was putting her in that this isn't right. I was supposed to be here first. Her sister told me that wasn't God's plan. A former classmate of mine from Sam was also there. Our son was also there.

Roger,

She was right ~ God does have a plan for all of us and it might not be the one we think it should be BUT, he knows what is best and I'm sure he has a reason for her going home first.....God Bless you Roger, I know it must be hard.

Hello everyone. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to contact Jerry Willeford? We talked a few years ago and I lost his contact info. Angry help would be appreciated.

This past week I was able to spend a few days with Roy Mudd '68 . Roy lives in the Centerville area and came to cypress to visit...we had planned this visit to include going to the old neighborhood and to try and get inside Burbank elem. and Sam Houston... Roy was going to bs his way in...spring break halted that...we drove every road...amazed to see our houses in such poor condition....debris from hurricane Harvey was still piled along roadways. Went by melrose park to see the baseball diamonds where we played little league and met some Sam Houston 10 th and 11 th graders fixing to play ball...we told them how we played these same fields 60 yrs earlier...Roy told me he could still play with them...we left before Roy could hurt himself..drove around looking at buildings and remembering what used to be there...it was good to go back even with all the changes...it didn't change the memories. God bless ....John huettel '68

Sandra Reece (Everett) (1968)

John. Glad you and Roy had a great visit. You guys didn't go eat lunch at Burger V or Barbecue Inn to add to your Northside day?  I'm amazed every time I drive over there and wonder how 4 of us kids and our parents lived in that small house on Parker Rd. Also, where did 3 of us kids driving at the same time park our vehicles, along with moms and dads.  The roads were so narrow. Lol. I like taking a trip down memory lane over there every so often, and wouldn't change my life growing up on Northside for anything. See both you and Mr Mudd at the reunion. Diane Watson....no excuse now. John's buying y'all's dinner. Lol
