Shirley Bond ~ no I'm not  "Arbiter of Death"

I was simply saying "Rest In Peace" to some Friends and past Classmates. I was asked by a couple of the Families to post updates for them and I gladly helped out.

At our age we are going to sadly have more and more of our Friends from Sam pass away. If not posted on here some would not find out about their passing.

I try to get on this site as much as time allows me to see who has posted and to post information. If we don't post then the site will die like a lot of our friends are. It would be nice if more would post and we could have a conversation about other things. Then when a death happened it would not be the only thing on here. But as I said with our age and the Pandemic death is happening more and more.

I hope if I pass away someone will Post my passing on here.

Time will tell.

Judy

PS , Connie I will gladly fill out the form and submit so the information can be passed on to whoever up dates the site on deaths. We appreciate the site and the chance to share our Good-bys to classmates and to talk about our Memories at SAM and growing up.

Thanks!

Morning Judy. I appreciate your posting details on the message board and I am just trying to insure the info gets to the right person.  Dana doesn't monitor FB or our message board and she enters the info on deceased classmates so I am trying to make sure the info gets to her.  Continue to post all you want. I am assuming this person calling you am Arbiter of various things is a friend of yours?  If not, I will take care of it.

For all of our SHHS classmates.….and you’re all invited… all classes are encouraged to attend
We’re gonna have a picnic😁😁
April 23rd……from noon until dark
Schott Park
8510 Will Clayton Pkwy
Humble, Tx. 77338
Bring your own food and drink
Bring your own lawn chairs
We will provide:
The covered pavilion
A DJ/Karaoke entertainer
Security
Final cleanup
There will be no charge to attendees ….a big thanks to Bobby and Connie Hopper for providing the funding. They have $1,500.00 left over from picnics that they hosted quite a few years back…..so, having another picnic to spend that money on, just makes perfect sense
It’s a picnic….. come enjoy visiting with your old high school classmates.
Enjoy the background music of our era.
And if the feeling hits you, grab the microphone, give it your best shot, and we’ll all sing along with you to one of your old favorite tunes.
We want everyone to have a relaxed, enjoyable Saturday afternoon….. your presence will help us to achieve that goal.
Please….. mark this date on your calendar…… we should all have a
wonderful time

Please share with our classmates that are not on Facebook
I’m looking forward to seeing and visiting with each and every one of you….. and I hope you are too. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

I attended several of these picnics and had a lot of fun meeting up with classmates. I encourage everybody to go. I regretfully have to say I will not be attending the picnic this year, I am vacationing in different places in the Philippines. It's More Fun in the Philippines. Google that last sentence and you will see why I love vacationing here. Stay safe everybody. 😷

Saturday (Yesterday) at Schott Park was a Blast!

Thanks to everyone that came out and had a picnic with us. Getting together with Close Friends we consider Family, visiting with friends we don't see very often, and meeting new classmates we never met before. I'm just getting home (Centerville Tx)  but will get the sign in sheets and the tickets given out to see if we can let you know a total on attendance. I know there had to be over a 100 there. Will post pictures ~ there will be more to come.

If you attended the picnic and took pictures , Please post and share with us!

Thanks Everyone ~ Judy

Judy...We had a great time yesterday at the picnic. So much fun I lost my voice from all the talking with friends. I did not sign in for my husband. I don't know if Shirley did either or Tom and his wife. I hope others that had their spouses with them signed them in. Lots of people! Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Thanks Judy and Bobby for all the hard work.
