Who remembers Mr. Davis rousing speech about "no tolerance for public display of affection"?  It was in the gym and went he sat down, he fell off the stage! Only the bottoms of his shoes were seen. The crowd somewhat erupted! Who remembers what he said? I do not, another hilarious memory. Do you think student council put his chair close to the stage edge. He was not injured only his pride!!!!

Susan, we're tentatively looking at April, we haven't nailed down a date or location yet, but we're kind of leaning towards Leigh Ann's downtown- I will contact them in the next week and find out what might be available- Details will come soon.

Last time I was in contact with Ricky Sneed he was in North Carolina doing quite well. I was really hoping to see him at the 40th because like with so many I went to elementary school with him so have been friends with him for many years. I also tried reaching out to Terrie Humphries who of course was our former class president because she has never returned for Any of the class reunions which I found kind of unusual for her. She was in the greater Atlanta area back then but that has been many years ago. I have often wondered who in our class was real close to her and could tell her how much we all would love to see her again.

So Nice of you to ask about two of our wonderful classmates.

The Grissom group of greater Nashville will meet again on Saturday April  25 at 4 pm. All are welcome to come. We will meet for casual dining at a favorite Cocos Italian Market 421 51st ave north in Nashville. We hope it's early enough to get all travelers time to enjoy the city before or after our event! pizzas are great.     T

Alisa and John, YOu all can plan to join the Grissom Girls in Nashville on Saturday, April 25th. We are meeting at 4 pm to accomodate anyone that may have to drive home that night. Coco's Italian Market has great food, an small market, and a  bocce ball court. Check out the website www.italianmarket.biz. And then plan to join the Grissom Girls on April 25.

Ok, talk about how things fall into place.........

My wife Kaye and I decided tonight to go to the mellow Mushroom in Huntsville, where we'd met in December for our first Huntsville post- reunion get together- I figured while there, I'd check about setting up a new date for our next get together, and we had no more than sat down than in walks Jim Hess, Ruth Garcia, and Jim's son and grandsons- Talk about perfect timing, and knowing it was the right decision !!!!

So, it is set up......Mellow Mushroom on Cecil Ashburn just off Bailey Cove in Huntsville- Monday, April 27th, 6:00.....You can start letting me know immediately who is going to be there and how many to plan for so that I can get a head count- I told them roughly 25-30, but they said we could always add more chairs w/o any problem- So, let me know if you can be there and I'll get a head count going- To the Nashville girls, we had originally said we'd shoot for a weekend, and the next one after April 27th may be a lot easier to try and set up for a weekend- We know a Monday night might be problematic, but we'd love for as many of the Nashville girls that can join us to come on down- Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello to all the Grissom classmates. I flew in from Dallas on Wednesday and flying back on Sunday. I wanted each of you to know how much my time in Huntsville and attending Grissom meant to me. I would not trade the time, the friends,the music for anything. Would I have done a few things differently , probably but , I will always have a love for this area. I truly wish that I had gotten to have known some of you more than I did. We had such a unique mix of cultures and people in high school and did not know how special that time was until later years. I am here visiting my mom in a rehab facility.

I googled the address of the warehouse where my package was located and decided it looked a bit to sketchy to ask someone to go there and pick it up. I decided just to pay the extra to have it shipped, so never mind about needing someone to pick it up for me.

However, I will still be in Nashville sometime the weekend of May 7-9, so maybe could have a late lunch/early dinner with any of the Nashville group that could.
