Hello Classmates!

The Birthday Party Action Team is PROUD to announce that ON-Line registration for the event is now available here on this website.  Please RSVP in advance (if you can) on line by clicking the link "GHS Class of 1974 60th Birthday Party Registration" on the side bar of this web site.  We need a good head count to make sure enough food and cake is available on Party Night!

You have several payment options. You can pay by credit card in advance, mail in a check or reserve your spot and pay at the door! The price is $40.00 per person. This includes food cake, music, dancing and some "G" rated entertainment. The event is open to all 70's Grissom classes.

Those who register early get two free tickets per person for the door prizes.

Let's make this a GREAT CELEBRATION of LIFE! We've earned it!

Cheers!

PS

I signed up for the 60th birthday party and I am sad to say I can't make it!!! Stan and I have made a huge change in our life!!  We are going to the Philippines and live 5 -7 years!! We will be teaching at a Bible College, Stan will assist pastors in several of the communist countries  in southeast Asia! We will help plant churches!  There is more to what we be doing but this really has been journey we began in 1991. We surrendered to foreign missons, but there was no funds to send us. Through that we met our pastor we served with 20 years.our 25 years at FBC Magnolia Arkansas we have been to the Philippines many times as well as other counties, including our own USA. We have sold our house, all our possesions( our kids got the things they wanted), and we will live in a furnished apartment there.  Our kids are good with this, which makes it much easier. We could coast  to retirement but we want to finish strong!!! Our meeting with our missions bostd is the weekend of the GHS party!!! I love all of you and hate we will miss it!! Hey there is a physical and psyche exam! Stan will pass but LOL I may not!  We are excited and covet your prayers!!! The 4years at Grissom we so great and I will forever cherish those memories! I will be able to facetime my kids and grandkids, This is wonderful. We will come home more than likely every year! Best wishes and love to all of you guys!!

PS- gotta follow BAMA somehow! RTR!!!!

Oh Donna; I'm thrilled for Stan and you. I'll be praying for you and asking God to wrap you up in his arms for protection. If you can before you leave see if some of the Huntsville group could have a get together before you leave.

Love

Hi Donna,

I do not know if you remember me from High School but I wanted to post a note in reference to your Missionary work.  The courage it takes to submit yourself to the lord is impressive and inspiring.  You and your husband's acts are very, very uplifting for all.

The GHS class of 74 are very proud to call you a friend.

Be safe in your travelers.

Donna,

Wow!

All of us are honored to call you and Stan our classmates! The party is dedicated to all of us, but more so to those who put others ahead of themselves like you two. You and Stan are a "class act".

Best wishes!

J.D.

Donna,

Please add me to your prayer team.  I am so excited for you!  I know this is a huge challenge but for every challenge God gives He also provides.  I want to pray for you and know more about your ministry there.

Hello fellow 60yr olds!  We are so looking forward to seeing as many as can come to the Birthday Party that JD has been so diligently and creatively advertising.  It's going to be a good time, but will be the BEST TIME if YOU are there!  YOU know who YOU ARE!!!!  We aren't getting any younger..so BE THERE while we are younger than we'll ever be again!  Invite other GHS classmates older/younger...they are welcome too!

Hope that is the case!!!  GHS class of 74 the best!   PS  last fall at at a Missouri ballgame, i was there, Bobby Zitsch was recognized for his Contribution to the training and work with med students there. Elysa (Lisa) Pelham (Jones)

Hi Classmates!

I have not written as I was not sure until now that I'm NOT going to be able to make it to the party :(

There is just too much going on this fall.  I'll be going to Bangkok on business next week then to Rotterdam to watch my daughter Mary Jones row in the World Championships - then she gets married within 2 weeks after that!

Mary won the Gold Medal at the PanAm Games last year in the lightweight womens single (LwtW1x).  That event doesnt occur in the Olympics, so the World Championship is the biggest event for her this year.  She won the trials last month to represent the USA in this event in Rotterdam. More info and some pictures at the following link:

Happy birthday all!!  I'll try to catch up at the next event.

Bless you,

Elysa (Lisa Pelham) Jones

Hello Classmates!

We are rapidly closing in on our Birthday Party Date! As with any successful event there is some behind the scenes work that needs to be done.

So your BPAT (Birthday Party Action Team) is asking for volunteers to help our team leaders on Party Day.

We need to line up volunteers for the following:

A). Two - three able-bodied people to help the DJ set up gear prior to the party.

Saturday afternoon 1-2 hours prior to party.

B). Three - four creative minded people to help decorate the venue.

Saturday afternoon 1-2 hours prior to party

C). Two - three people to be greeters at the door to collect funds and help with name tags.

During party - probably first  hour or so in 20-40 minute shifts.

D). Five male strippers - no - I'm kidding, just checking to see if you're actually reading beyond the word  volunteers.

E). Two creative people to put together some prize baskets. (Tennessee girls? You there?).

Thanks in advance for those that offer to help.

Cheers,

J.D. Webster / Chairman, BPAT

Don't count me out please. I'm attending J.D. hopefully. I have a mandatory two day conference that weekend and I'm trying to wiggle out of the Saturday night event so that I may see my class mates at the birthday party. That is why I have not sent my registration in yet. I will know by the weekend hopefully.
