Cindy Maguire

Got my BA in art education at University Kansas. Left Kansas and was an arts administrator at Moore College of Art in Phila. Ended up running admissions at SCI-Arc, design architecture school in Los Angeles. From there I went back into teaching art in the Los Angeles City schools. Pursued my MA in art education as well as my studio art practice. After 9 years of teaching, lost my sense of humor and realized I had to leave teaching. Moved to New York to get my PhD in Art Education at New York University. Met my wonderful husband. Did a 4 year stint at Annenberg Institute for School Reform and now teach art education at Adelphi University on Long Island.
