Steve Casterline

Steve Casterline, 62, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 18th after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Carl L. and mother, Marjorie L. Casterline. Steve was born on February 27, 1946 at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, MO. He was a graduate of Center High School in 1964. He married his wife "Charlie" of 35 years in 1969 at Bethesda Maryland Navy Chapel. He leaves behind his brother, Douglas Casterline, son, Stephen Casterline, Jr., daughter in law, Joyce, grandchildren, Jordan, Nicholas, and Rylee. Steve had successful careers in home improvement, the auto industry, and real estate. He was proud of his military service and was a US Navy Corpsman and served in Vietnam aboard the hospital ship Repose. Steve received a letter of commendation for his excellent service during his tour of duty in Vietnam. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2008 at the funeral home. Arrangements: Mt.
