Cheryl and I were really good friends our last couple of years at Center.  We would both meet at Miss Roller's Latin class after school and take home Latin papers to grade and return to Miss Roller the next morning.  When we were in college, sometimes I would visit Cheryl at William Jewell College for the weekend, and sometimes she would visit me at Mizzou for the weekend.  I was so sorry to see that she had died in 2008.  I have a copy of the obituary if anyone wants to see it.

I, too was a good friend of Cheryl's after she moved to the Center School Dist.  She had moved from Memphis, TN, and everyone loved to hear her talk with that smooth southern drawl.  Actually, it was my first time to hear someone with an accent from another part of the U.S, so I was really taken by it all.  Cheryl and I lost touch after we went onto different colleges, but I often thought of her as a good friend and classmate when we were together at Center.  I'm very sorry to hear about her death.    Patty Hamlin Logue
