KINGS MOUNTAIN — Mr. Bud Bumgardner, 54, of 1948 County Line Road, died April 10, 1995, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Kings Mountain, NC., to the late Joseph Edward Bumbardner and Evelyn Hines Bumgardner, he taught school and coached in Cleveland County at Kings Mountain High School.
 
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Plonk Bumgarner and two children:  Rusty Bumbardner of Kings Mountain, and Terry Mahaffey of Belmont, NC and a grandaughter, Taylor Elizabeth Mahaffey.  He is also survived by two sisters; Shirley Valentine of Kings Mountain and Maxine Black of Clover, SC.

Bud was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Kings Mountain, NC and Fairview Masonic Lodge #339. He was buried at St. Lukes Cemetery.  Honorary Pallbearers were fellow coaches, former players, and students.
