Sharon was a wonderful person, We just got married toooooo young. I maintained contact right up until her death in 2002. We were having our Class reunion and I was told by Sally Bownton the first night of the reunion. She had passed the day before. I had just talked to her on the phone a few days prior.....after hearing the news, I had to go for a walk.
She died of cancer. Not sure what or where ( have forgotten). Cancer is cancer.
She was my high school sweetheart, and she will always be dear to my heart.
Sharon was one of the special people in my life. I was continually amazed at how much she enjoyed even the ordinary. She was always laughing. She had this funny little laugh and then she'd exclaim, "That was such a hoot!!" She was an easy person to love and appreciate. Even as she battled cancer her attitude was always hopeful and one of looking forward to the next possibility. I don't think she had words of complaint in her vocabulary!
She had hoped to make it to Seattle, but that wasn't to be and I'm sure she would exhort all of us to get those exams whenever we have the slightest little suspicion that something's wrong. Her cancer was one that didn't give a lot of warning signals.
I have not come across a more genuine, caring and positive happy person and she is sorely missed. I was fortunate to enjoy her friendship.
