Comments:

Certainly, my life travels since 1963 have been an adventure full of experiences that my 17 year old mind did not forsee. Following graduation
from EOC I taught school for one year in Elgin, then Pendleton and then concluded my teaching career of 20 years in the Eugene area. I am grateful for the many opportunities that education gave me. I taught so many children, teachers in training, some Continuing Ed. Courses, and worked in an Educational Laboratory in Long Beach, CA. My two alma maters are EOC and the U of O where I earned my masters degree.
In 1987 California and a new career beckoned. I left teaching and worked in several different types of sales jobs and then followed my heart and began working as a designer in the SF Bay Area. (and yes, a little bit of my heart will always be in San Francisco). December 2009 I returned to Oregon and now live in the Redmond area for what I predict will be my last 20+++ years. The geography here is phenominal and feeds my interest in art and the outdoors.
My most recent accomplishment has been horseback riding. Yahoo!
The forementioned lays out a geographic/professional skeleton of my life after highschool until now, but the heart and meat of my life has been my beautiful family and all of the wonderful people that I have had the priveledge to know and work with along the way.
I look forward to interacting with my classmates
at the reunion where I can learn about their travels, family and friends.

School Story:

I look back at all of the things I did in high school and wish for a morsel of the energy that I had then. I remember most Band classes and Band substitute teachers. Steve Waller and I seemed, on ocassion, to be playing the wrong score when stubstitute teacher were yielding the baton.
I also remember how many activities that I loved happened in our gym, from PE to Pep Rallies, to basketball games. It was 3 very wonderful years.

Hi Dennis,

Happy Birthday. My own children were born in 67 and 72 and no grandchildren. I bet you love them all. My brother Daryl also lives in Hermiston, if you don't already know. I remember all of those great, sunny days of water skiing with your family. Hope all is well.

Hi Kathy, Happy Birthday. I remember a Birthday Party that you gave for a gaggle of high school girls. It was great fun. The other rememberance that pops into my mind on occasion sets us in the approximate era of Jr. High school. You and I met up near the public library and as we walked up that 4th street hill toward home you said, "If I was around a person who had food on their teeth, or messy hair, or was it that they had food on their shirt (I apologize I can't quite remember the example you stated) I would look the other way so as to not make them feel embarrassment. Ping! Your generosity of thought for a future behavior was kind and lovely. In my life, I hope that I have applied your rule of behavior at the appropriate time and....still working on it. Thank you! Happy Birthday Don,

I remember you from school days at Central Elementary School and of course, all the way through high school matriculation. I never was a close friend of yours, but I certainly did keep track of you through your participation in school and sports. It is surprising and interesting to roll into our 60th decade and experience how becoming "mature" effects us. I do hold so dear memories of my classmates throughout our school years. That said - my memories of you and Cindy are sweet and clear. Looking back I see both you and Cinda as such shining examples of dedication, unselfishness and well cultivated high moral values. Better add hard workers too, as rearing 8 children is an herculean assignment.

Do take care of your self as best you can and have a wonderful birthday celebration.

Most Sincerely,
Cheryl Hicks Moore

I especially thank you for trying to get me to come to the 2013 reunion. Have a great 2014. You can always get in touch with me through classmates - or I think you have my email address. You have been a great friend in my life and a friend not to be forgotten.
