Let us not forget Wesley William Vermeesch (June 04, 1947-October 30, 1969). He died of hostile action in Binh Dinh Provice, South Vietnam at the age of 22. He was married. His name appears on the Vietnam Memorial Wall, panel 16W, line 006. His body is in the Houston National Cemetery.
We are greatful for his service and his sacrifice.
Thank you Wes for your service -- to Country, Church, and Family. I had the privilege to work and play with Wes sharing many good times from LaGrande to Corpis Christie TX. I have a rubbing from the Memorial, and have tried unsuccessfully to locate his wife and daughter. I really miss his laugh and the memories we should have continued to create.
