"Mitch Mitch bo itch, Bannna fanna fo fitch, fe fy mo itch...Mitch".  When I drive by your grave in Summerville I nod, say "Hi Mitch" out loud, and smile.  After all these years, you still make me smile.  A short life, but one done right.

Mitch was  killed in Aug 75, the same weekend of  our 10th reunion if  I am not mistaken.

Mitch did not drive, and many a weekend I would drive  him to Elgin to meet up with his then

girlfriend  (future wife)..One  sat we were at a dance at the Elgin Stampede Hall, and

was invited to join some friends of Mitch's from Elgin in partaking of a few beers. As we were

driving down the  road drinking, headlights appeared coming  towards us, then  flashing red

lights. The beer went flying out the  windows  as fast we could  ditch them. The cops pulled us over, ask what we were doing,  flashed their flashlights in our  faces  & in the car. Then send  us on our way. Needless to say I could  not interest Mitch in having a beer again. He  was a  great guy, who left this earth to soon
