Mitch was killed in Aug 75, the same weekend of our 10th reunion if I am not mistaken.
Mitch did not drive, and many a weekend I would drive him to Elgin to meet up with his then
girlfriend (future wife)..One sat we were at a dance at the Elgin Stampede Hall, and
was invited to join some friends of Mitch's from Elgin in partaking of a few beers. As we were
driving down the road drinking, headlights appeared coming towards us, then flashing red
lights. The beer went flying out the windows as fast we could ditch them. The cops pulled us over, ask what we were doing, flashed their flashlights in our faces & in the car. Then send us on our way. Needless to say I could not interest Mitch in having a beer again. He was a great guy, who left this earth to soon
