Bill Hoyt

After I graduated from LHS, I went to UW and started in Engineering. I found out that quantitative analysis and calculus weren't all that fun. Got married to Janet (Cuthbertson) in 1965 and graduated in 1967. I student taught in Evanston and was offered a job in Green River after graduation from UW and have been in the public schools here ever since teaching music. Even after all these years, I still wake up in the morning thinking about what we are going to do today in school. When the day comes that it isn't fun anymore, I put in my papers. Right now it is still fun. Besides teaching, I keep myself busy by leading a dance band (Sweetwater Sounds), singing in a quartet (DQYDJ -Don't Quit Your Day Job), playing organ in church, singing in Community Choir and tuning pianos for fun and profit.

After seeing the photos of the 45th reunion, I am even more sorry I had to miss it.

Mrs. Nelson's english class. We were quietly working on the next day's assignment when there was a female cry of astonishment from down the hall. Without looking up Mrs. Nelson commented "I don't know if she was surprised or just pleased."

Only ROTC. I tried to get into advanced ROTC but washed out because of my asthma.
