Hazel was such an inspiration to me.  I really didn't know Hazel that well in high school but one of reunions I was on a committee to call to see if people were coming to the reunion.  I called Hazel and she said she'd love to come but was in a wheel chair.  I told her that was fine that I'd be happy to take her. In the mean time I had talked to Sandra Clingan...... and she was all for going and getting Hazel.  You know Sandra.....!!!!!!!! So we brought Hazel.  A few years later Hazel was at Health South and needed some help so every evening I'd go and feed her her supper and help her brush her teeth.  Well one day  for some reason tryed to scrub the grout with a toothbrush on my kitchen floor......(I was much younger then ).....and by the time I was to go and feed Hazel my hands were really in pain.  Now Hazel was all crippled up by then but I never heard Hazel complain never once in all the years I knew her. So I went to feed her and I was complaining about how my hands were hurting and how painful they were and she smiled and looked at me and said......''Comfy......get a grip.......'' I laughed so hard.  Here she was in pain all the time and her hands were all twisted up and she still had such a sense of humor.......I said to her once......''Hazel how do you have such a great attitude.....'' and she said......''It's ok life really isn't all that bad......'' Gosh what a lady.......I was priviledged to have known her.......
