David Burt

Hello class,
Just wanted to report that another of our old friends passed away, Randy Harrison, class of '70. He's been in declining health for sometime, but it was still a shock to hear of his death. He had recently moved to Ringold, Ga., just two weeks ago, and living alone, he died and was not found for a few days. He is survived by a son and two daughters, and several sisters and brothers who still live in the Vesta area. Please be in prayer for his family.

I am really saddened to hear about Randy.  I have not seen him since high school, but I have heard about him through his family over the years.  It is hard to believe that Randy and Lucy have both left us.  And you know they had a little brother, Bo, that died a couple of years ago. We are not getting younger.  Lets stay in touch.

Hello Everyone,

Bet yall thought I had got LOST -- no such luck LOL.  Janet -- great to hear you are doing well.  Keep it up woman.  I will keep you in my prayers.

Sorry to hear about Randy.  It seems that we are losing a lot of classmates, those that came before us and after us.

I found out today that my brother in law - Johnny Fleming is in the hospital.  He has an irregular heart beat plus a very LOW blood count and they don't know why.  They are running test on him today.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Happy Birthday to all of those I have missed and too all of those coming up.  Between work and school again, I don't have much time to get on line.

I interviewed for another job but didn't get it, however they do want to keep my resume because they are reconstructing the division (they cover the entire SE part of Texas). He told me that they might have something as good or better for me in a month or two if I am still interested.  We shall see.

I told my boss yesterday that I was going home the week after Christmas. (have to ck with my sisters to see when they are getting together).  Told her mother was going blind and I was going home.  She is always wanting me to cover for someone but when I want off it's like pulling eye teeth.  I am not asking this time but telling LOL.  I will let everyone know when I will be coming home -- maybe we can get together one night for dinner or something.

have a great week and weekend

love you all

Janet

I don't know if any of you remember, but I lived in Ringgold, GA for about 5 years, when my children were very small.

Does anyone know why Randy moved to Ringgold?

Tim and Julie, thank you so much for having us in your beautiful home on Friday evening.

I enjoyed reminiscing with Tim about our Sunday School days. And Julie the historical info and tour of your home was just fabulous!

Also, it was so nice to see Diane again. Our class reunion was so busy that I didn't get to socialize on the individual basis that I would have liked.  Shirley Busbin and Rita Bryant who missed our class reunion, were great to see as well.

Thanks again for such a nice evening of re-aquaintances!

Tim and I thoroughly enjoyed having all of you in our home last Friday night when Diane was here.  I don't think she slept much from the time she landed at Hartsfield until she returned to Missouri.  She was a very busy lady visiting friends and family.  It was a great visit and having you all here made it even more special.

It was really good to see all of you who came to Tim & Julie's home last Friday.  Hope all of our classmates are doing well and enjoying their lives.  Please continue to keep in touch--whether it be here, in a home, at a restaurant, wherever.

Take care and God bless.

Love,

Diane

We read about Jimmy's son in the Echo.  That was very tragic.   Our sympathy goes out to Jimmy and his family.   I saw Bill Hawkins in the Arnoldsville Post Office one day this week.  He was with his daddy.  It was good to see him.  Every thing has been a little calmer this week since the grandkids are back at school.  It is still hot outside delivering the mail but I enjoy my route.  Hope all is well with everyone.  Stay Cool  :)

Hey Gang!

Enjoyed the pictures of Diane's visit...wish I could have made the scene! I was nursing a gimpy knee from surgery on Wednesday of that week. The knee is almost as good as new, hasn't slowed me down too much. As most of the guys know I was not that fast anyhow. As far as Peggy's comment of me looking great, well Peggy either wasn't wearing her glasses or she needs to have eyes checked! Hey Peggy while you are having your eyes checked you need to see a "noseologist" also, I remember being dusty, sweaty and stinky that day!

Just a note - cruises are cheap now! We might want to think about doing one next spring.

Love you all!

Bobby E.

Well Bobby I guess it takes one to smell one!  I had just gotten home from work (dusty mailroute) when Tara my daughter called to ask me if I wanted to go to Wal Mart with her and the kids.  She was going to the other side of town so I didn't think I would see anyone I knew.  Needless to say I had not had time to take a shower or clean up so I looked  like I had spent eight hours in a hot truck with no air on dusty back roads all day.  All I can say is Bobby aren't you thankful we have a job these days!!? It's called Dirt, Sweat and A Paycheck :) Glad you are doing good with your leg. Take Care!

09/10/10 12:00 PM #182

Bobby Erwin

Peggy,

Good heavens girl ... if there was a stinky sweaty smell it could have only been emanating from this old horse! You have to know women folk from Oglethorpe County fill any room with a fragrance more pleasant than peach blossoms! I counted my day as blessed when I happen upon you four lovely Oglethorpe County ladies.

As for a job, if you have one count your lucky stars and pray it does not get cut.  Pray for those who don't have jobs that they might find one and most of all pray for this country. We the people will turn this country and economy around...as we always have.

Take care!

Bobby E.

Hello everybody!!!  Diane I am so sorry I couldn't get to see you when you were here.

My Mom has been having a lot of problems.  She is better now.  I read the message forum a

lot to keep up with our news.

I am having a knee replacement as soon as we can set up the surgery date.  I had one on

my left leg two years ago and it is doing great.  Now I am having a problem with the other

one. I dread it but I am thinking about how great it is when it is well. Keep me in your

prayers.

Good Luck Ann and keep us informed about when your surgery will be.  We know first hand that prayers do work.
