Karen Dobrowski (Hernandez)

I lost my yearbook to a damp cellar and am dying to look at one! If we can get one done digitally it would be amazing.

I think I lost my yearbook in a flood.

And when are you "crush-happy" people going to fess up?
Spill it already!

Brenda, nice job with the site!

Lyn Swanson (Lavery)

No true confessions here! But I did scan parts of the yearbook so if anyone wants it, let me know and I'll email you the pdf file.

Hey Lyn,
If you provide some hi res scans (jpg preferably), I will crop the pictures and send them to Ms. Brenda.

Thanks Nancy Hayes for telling me about this website.

I just realized my yearbook is at my ex's. I will need to get that back for sure!

Steve,

I'm pretty sure I speak for both Laura and myself when I say....It was you! It was always you. By the way, how fun is it to have an opportunity to be in high school again? My plan is to speak with as many '79'ers as possible. Who else is going to remember me without one un-dyed gray hair? I miss you all!!!!

Melissa,
Am I crazy or did you wear a tux to the prom? LOL

05/30/09 11:05 PM #24

Melissa Turner

Donna, By your question, I can only assume you think I must have been crazy to wear a tux to the prom? (Well, you're not so far from wrong.) I DID wear a tux to the prom. It was ill-fitting and unflattering but at least my hair looked terrible. I had a ball!

Our daughter left for the prom about 2 hours ago. She looked stunning. No tux...

05/31/09 10:58 AM #25

Donna Keenan (Grady)

No not saying you were crazy..I was questioning if it was you or someone else. Today it wouldn't even raise an eyebrow! Glad times have changed and kids can be who they want to be.

Glenn Lianos

The Tux was cute. the hair was a disaster. No one could rock that hair except Mrs Blushy (sp?) at the front office...I thought Laura's crush was eluding something more decadent...

Melissa Turner

Glenn, I'm glad you mentioned it because I was sort of going for a Mrs. Blushiy look. She was a peach! We were terrible and she completely indulged us.

Okay, Lianos, why are there no photos of your family on this site? You look fabulous, your wife is gorgeous (and yet I still can't hate her, dang!) your kids are adorable and smart. Do you know nothing of reunion bragging? Thank Dog I'm here to help you....

My high school crush was no secret. He was in the class of 80 and I married Benny in 1981. We were then and are still best friends. Whoever said being married to your high school crush doesn't work. It has for us. Almost 28 years now.

Hope to see you all at the reunion.

Debra Leathers (Pepper)

Does anyone else remember the food fight of 79? I actually have a picture of Mr Foley holding up a tee-shirt the class gave him that says, I SURVIVED THE FOOD FIGHT OF "79". I saved all kinds of clipping and pictures from our last reunion and will bring them to this next one with my year book. Can wait to see you all there.

You're funny Melissa! Come to think of it, you were always funny. Yes, it will be fun.

My son dropped off my yearbook tonight. Haven't looked at it in 10+ years. My kids used to get a kick out of looking at it while they were little. I felt a bit emotional..we were so young and innocent (ok I was innocent). Then I looked at those who passed...I wasn't going to this reunion but slowly I am changing my mind.

Barbara Searles (Vaillancourt)

Hi,
I would like to let Melissa know that I am married to the person that I went to the senior prom with !! Figure out who it is and then I'll give you all the juicy details.
Barbara Searles
P.S. You looked hot in that Tux!

06/06/09 03:02 PM #33

Glenn Lianos

Well Barbara...let's look at the evidence...You thought that Melissa looked hot in her tux and it's just become legal in NH. I'm guessing you married Ellen Degeneres...am I close? lol

06/06/09 05:55 PM #34

Melissa Turner

Okay Barbara, I'm going to use the same detective skills illustrated by Glenn. I’m trying to remember the senior prom. I believe there was an abundance of ruffled shirts (you guys know who you were) and polyester. So overall, a pretty glamorous night. (This was my non-tux wearing prom.) I’m going to say that his last name started with a V. Is it Vaillancourt? (Just a guess) And even with the new legalities in NH, I’m going to say it was a man. Am I close? If so, juicy details supply juicy details below.

Lyn Swanson (Lavery)

I don't remember a lot about prom or high school for that matter, which is probably a good thing. But I do remember Melissa and the tux, and agree that you looked hot. Also agree that there were way too many ruffled shirts on the guys - where the hell were the fashion police? Melissa and Laura, I do know someone who had a wicked secret crush on both of you at the same time! But we'll save that for later...after a few vodka tonics. And Glenn, I agree with Melissa, pictures please. The rest of us are baring our souls.

06/09/09 12:19 AM #36

Robert Ferendo

Yeah we had ruffled shirts...but let's not forget the true fashion trend of the time...Striped Tube sox under the white tuxes! (who had white dress sox?!)

Larry Bunnell

melissa how bout if we had 2 crushes. hahaha

06/09/09 08:09 PM #38

Melissa Turner

Larry, I want all the details. Especially if it pertains to me! And Glenn Lianos, you are mean, mean, mean. You force me to look on this everyday to see if you've updated your profile and in the great words of my niece Brittani, "NOTHING!" You're killing me....

06/09/09 09:20 PM #39

Robert Ferendo

Melissa, You'll just have to start making things up and posting on Glenn's behalf...eventually he'll decided to update his own info for damage control!

06/10/09 07:13 PM #40

Barbara Searles (Vaillancourt)

Dear Glenn,
Your right!! Ellen and I are very happy!
Barbara

Marie Chartier (LaBonte)

Hello all! Marie Chartier LaBonte here. I married Chuck LaBonte also from the class of 79. We married in 1982 and are still together. We started dating Junior year. He was and still is the best thing that ever happened to me. I also know that Michelle Guilmette married Joe Juza, Debbie Paris married Mark Langton, both also class of 79 grads. I'll be sure to bring my yearbook to the reunion to share, my kids get a kick looking at it and laughing at our styles! How dare they, I say we were very sytlish for our time. Yes, I remember Melissa's Tux at the prom! Talk about style, I think only she could have carried that off. Loved it Melissa!
